This is the complete sound track to the Clark and McCullough short "The Bath Between" (1928). The video is believed not to exist.
You have Ron Hutchinson to thank for this sound track, who, through his diligence, managed to add this particular item to his amazing collection.
You can also thank Joe Lauro (new co-owner of Ron's collection) for locating the Vitaphone discs for the 2 reels and making audio copies. Joe also very graciously allowed the sound track to be shared and enjoyed by others (which was ultra-cool).
Ron Hutchinson posted the audio for the first reel at soundcloud.com about 4 years ago. As Ron pointed out then, it was the first time in 87 years since anyone heard it. Well, it's about 91 years now since anyone has heard the last reel.
Enjoy!

Really not sure what I just watched...
Looks like fun to live back then .
There once was a girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good she was verry, very good but when she was bad she was horrid. Thumbnail triggered. Happy New Year, folks! Wishing all a safe and stable 2025.
I was watching Johnny O'Clock and looked it up on IMDb. Reading about Dick Powell led me to Louise Fazendon and her work. So here I am. Not a fan of silent films but I figured this was short enough not to make me restless. (It's a me thing). Glad I chose this one.
2:55. Tip for builders: do not run the cold water intake pipe for the water heater right beside where the thermostat will be going in the room next to it. Took a couple years to figure out why my son's room would get so hot when the heat was set so low.
i like the part at 15:29
It was interesting how the tinted film was in such better shape. Thank you for posting!
Yes, I noticed that too.
That Algie kid is a real "problem child"...😄
Wonderful that this has survived! Thank you for reviving it.
The Olympic is still in service in 1932 when this movie was made. The Titanic's older near identical sister. Andy Clyde played "California" Hoppalong Cassidy's sidekick and "Cully" on the tv show Lassie.
Great stuff- thanks for posting this.
haha made me laugh, quite a production too , 1918.
Poor bear!
Nice 😊😊😊😊
Thank you so much ❤ Some great gags in here.
Thank you.
Most amusing! Thank you!
Thank you so much!
And I wonder just what the people a hundred years from now will see when looking back on us
''Those simple people'' 😄
Fatty can stand to skip a meal or 2.
He's funny because he is fat.
Thank you JB indeed! That front porch at 04:24 and elsewhere stood adjacent to the Keystone Studio. It appears in many films, including Chaplin's very first scene from Making A Living
Holy moly, it must be Christmas! Thanks JB!
Pre-flapper, and Colleen exudes cute all over the place. She would be one of America's Sweethearts throughout the 1920's and 30's, and able to retire on her own terms in the mid-30's. That she had one blue and one brown eye made little difference in black-and-white.
Amazing! Lehrman doing his best Ritchie impression.
I think I might have to see a shrink after watching this vintage video. Maybe he can prescribe me something to put me back to 'normal', whatever that is.
Before this video in my watch later playlist, there were a string of loud, annoying videos that only pestered me. They were a complete waste of time, and some were even clickbait lies instead of the entertainment they promised and I expected. Then, this fantastic, honest video appeared to save the day for me, in true vintage fashion. "Anybody's Goat" was a pleasant pleasure to watch. I'd never seen the short movie before either. Thanks! Maine says to say hello. (I got vintage videos from the past on my own channel, too!)
lots of fun.
😂 The art of the swindle times 10. Maybe 100.
Reminds me of the movie, "The Sting". Sort of anyways.
Thank you!
I wonder what is missing in those six minutes. Thank you for posting this!
LOve Edgar Kennedy
Is that a young Margaret Hamilton at 8:07?
Yes, indeed, that looks like a young Margaret Hamilton.
Great to see this, even abridged. Thanks for sharing ❤
But abridged is better than lost. Thanks for uploading...
I noticed the text “an Atlas Television release” at the bottom of the title card. From what I could gather, Atlas Television was a television syndicator/distributor, similar in effect to later companies like Alan Enterprises, The Program Exchange, and nowadays Debmar-Mercury. They also handled the TV rights for a short-lived sci-fi series called “Captain Z-Ro”, which for many years was thought to be permanently lost. Does anyone have any other info on this mysterious company?
Sorry, I can't help you there.
@ That’s fine. Thanks for this great film!
beautiful pre code movie. loved it!
Just before their merger with 20th Century Pictures to form "20th Century Fox".
🥰Nice to see Wheeler Oakman , not in a western movie . Always a great bad guy . 🤠🐴🐄🥰👍
Thank you 🥰😍😄👍A fan of Andy Clyde . 👍
Edward LeSaint is the judge in this, the Stooges' "Disorder in the Court," "Reefer Madness" and about 100 other movies!
Surprisingly entertaining ! I recognized the hallway in the apartments from other silent films . Gertrude Astor went on to play in films , most notably ( among others ) Harry Langdon's the STRONG MAN , 1926 .
Get a hold of yourselves. It's from 1931.
Very fun!
Norman had a nice speaking voice...he could have played Archduke Ferdeniand in a sound piece about the start of WW1.
One my favorite flappers thank you for uploading
Was this taken from a kodascope print? The amber looks very familiar.
Fin and Charlie Hall, better known as foils for Laurel and Hardy!
Many thanks for a wonderful share
George Chandler..always entertaining..especially in the Fatal Glass of Beer
