This is one of the many amended versions as SEGA was fearful of the potential copyright lawsuits. Many people know about Spiderman, Batman, Godzilla as bosses and a standard soldier enemy looking like Rambo in this game having to have their appearance changed as a result. But the face of Joe Musashi that appears on the original title screen was based on that of actor Sonny Chiba, specifically on his appearance in the Japanese TV series Kage no Gundan. For the Virtual Console release, this was expectedly changed to avoid legal issues.

I enjoyed this playthrough more than the Doom 2016 one. So many near misses and I experienced a game crash on Taras Nabad but the game was generous to me and didn't delete the file. The stars DEFINITELY aligned for me for this playthrough! I had to be selective in what I unlocked as I wasn't going to risk getting absolutely everything. Micro Missiles are not a bad mod at all but the Precision Bolt is always the superior choice. I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback good sir.

@@hotfuzzpooleygaming9232 One thing I was wondering, is the Ultra Nightmare mode not permadeath like 2016? DooM 2016 is actually the last game I bought and played before my PC died a death, haven't got back into gaming since, though I'm catching the bug again. I really want to play DooM Eternal, as well as Aliens: Fireteam Elite and Helldivers II. Also, with DooM: The Dark Ages arriving, it would be good to get back in the game. And, again, you're welcome good sir, throughly entertaining vids and gameplay. Look forward to the DooM: Eternal The Ancient Gods I & II Ultra Nightmare runs.👍

@@DoomGhost001 It's still permadeath like Doom 2016. BUT Eternal does have quality of life changes. If you fall off a ravine, you won't instantly die but take a bit of health damage. This is a godsend as there was nothing worse than playing that game, doing well and then screwing up on a platforming section and then several hours of gameplay goes down the toilet. And secondly, if the game crashed - it did not wipe the file. Thank GOD!

Just watching your The Ancient Gods Part 1 Nightmare playthrough, can't imagine what that and Part 2 will be like on Ultra Nightmare. I actually used a mod called the Max Control mod which enables Sonic to be able to use his entire moveset: The Drop Dash, the Super Peel Out and Insta Shield are all usable on a normal Save file. You don't actually need the mod however if you don't mind not being able to save. You can use a code on the Debug Mode/Level Select by selecting the following sounds: 09, 00, 00, 01. When you have done this, you will hear an audio cue and you can get all of Sonic's moveset that way, but you can only play on No Save Mode.

Agreed. The episodic releases have definitely hurt the games reception, along with the title of the game itself. It should have remained Sonic the Portable. Would have been far better received

I know right? Well there is a mod called Competition Mode Plus that adds all the levels in the game and watching footage of Titanic Monarch being played with 4 players was actually pretty sick.

I haven't forgotten! I'm just getting distracted with other stuff. So many games, so little time. :D

my mania mod manager doesn´t found the folder of the mod.

The version I used is Vanilla Sonic Mania, not Sonic Mania Plus. That's why it will not work with Plus. You will have to go to the Retro Engine Modding Server and ask the experts about how to make a build for Plus. I never figured out how to do it myself. The original already has a build and is much easier to set up.
