I run best 7.36 @95 with back seat rests out with 90km remaining in the tank at a street road event@Castertondrags 2023 was my best. At Portland South Coast raceway i run 7.40 is my best so far. 4 weeks and season starts gain ,we are hoping e20 will help a 7.29 😅😊

IS2000s on my '19. On that car, the dust is WAY worse but the pads are leagues better than stock! Those were dangerous on a modded car. These pads are so damn good!

Sitting in staging and everything getting hot definitely doesn’t do it any favors. That has always been my issue at the track.

When you did the 11.92 @ 116.29, was that still with a little E85 in the tank?

Your 1/4 miles times aren't too bad really, Low 12's. you did a 116 mph also which is not bad. The explanation of bogging down at the racetrack makes sense, you can hear it too. Also, didn't you already ran a 11.9 in the past? The launch control on the OEM car must be as briefly as possible, I strongly believe that holding for too long hurts the times. Lastly, there is nothing worst than having to pair up with a dragster next to you. Your chest shakes, you can't even hear your own engine, revs and is the most distracting thing on the most critical moment.

Same thing happens with my cars. It's faster on the street from the pull off lane, than the strip. Not sure why.

My 1/4 miles was the exact same time on the street. Although I supplemented with 110.

Use VehiCAL for logging unless you have something very specific lined up.

I have never achieved faster times at the drag strip compared to the road in both my RS3 and TTRS.

I might be wrong but it seems like you were sitting on LC longer at the track than on the road. Pretty sure back in the 8V days we would see better launches when not holding L/C too long.

my rs3 (series) has about ~411 hp with shell v power 100 octane (vmax german autobahn ~ 173 mph GPS 😁). yes, well, we pay significantly more for petrol (2 Euro / Litre). fun costs!

This is one of the things i really wish would have been included on the previous gen rs3/ttrs.

How are the steel breaks on the 8y? I take it they don’t have the issues the 8v had?!

Going down the same path Brian. Glad I found your video. Just received my front and rear iSweep 1500 pads today and will be installing them tomorrow on my 2024 RS3. Same lovely color as yours by the way! I have OBD Eleven and will try the Ebrake release with a feature found on the OBD Eleven. I had an 8V RS3 as well and loved that damn car. Enjoyed it more in some ways as it was tunable. Will also be doing the Matrix headlight activation as you showed in another video. Expect to keep this awesome car for a long time and would like all the features available. Fingers crossed for an affordable ECU tune in the near future. Thanks again!

Changed to these exact pads myself on my 23 8Y RS3. Have a few hundred miles on them. Doing great so far. Absolutely no noise and a LOT less dust.

330 whp on 93 is really weak....Mustang dyno? Most 8Ys are closer to 400

I had these programmed on mine about a month after I got the car. One of the vendors that does this was having a good sale that was almost half the price of what this usually costs. I think I paid about $300 plus the cost of a USB to OBD-II dongle that I got to keep. I even got the race timers acrivated, which is not a US option. The matrix lights are a must-have. They have probably already paid for themselves with as many deer I have spotted at night I could have hit. Don't really care if they are not approved yet. Just DOT beaurocracy. I have not been flashed once by oncoming drivers when these are on, so these are pretty spectacular.

Infinit Performance have multi map tunes for these cars already. Its done remotely too. @infinitperformance

It's disabled on the north american market because regulations don't allow for european configuration matrix lights. So this is probably illegal to enable (not that anyone cares).

Hey man, appreciate the honest results. Best I got was 12.0 @ 113.8 on Vegas 91 octane with 72 degrees, 2500ft elevation, and 4100 DA.

I'm not surprised. My 8Y RS3 felt like it made about 330-350whp on Vegas 91. On an E30 blend, it felt like 400whp. Idk where people are getting "400whp stock" because this car does not feel like that on normal pump gas.

To clear up some confusion It made 365hp and 372 tq on the e25 blend and 329hp and 355tq on normal Sheetz 93 octane The car is still on stock calibration for these videos

Great video for the comparison. Ive thrown in about 2 gallons of E to a full tank on my 8Y to see if there was a difference. My butt dyno had said yes and so did my gas mileage. But the shows my thinking was correct. I grabbed E from Sheetz as well. Would be cool to meet up sometime. Im not super far from you.

Mine made 383 on a dyno jet stock aswell on 93

"Unitronic" - when it's available, I assume. I've got a '24 with a JB4 on map 6 using an E30 mix and the car hauls. I will be doing some dyno runs in October. I guess that dyno reads low. 330whp seems low compared to other types of dynos. I've seen these things dyno near 400whp stock.

What were the mods you’d done to the car prior to putting the e85 in? Did you change spark plugs? Thanks

When I had my 2022 with Uni Stg 1+ ECU dyno'd, I put in 2 gals E and rest 93. It did 488 hp and 513 tq....on a Mustang Dyno.
