Awakening was my first FE game, I waited for something like a year after seeing the demo before I convinced my parents to get it for me. Played a bunch of times, still remember Lon'qu almost soloing Grima on my first playthrough. Let alone the sheer insanity that F!Robin/Chrom is, or Morgan and Lucina as a result of it. Emmeryn's death still makes me tear up every time I think about it, say what you will about the quality of the story but that part was perfect. I don't even mind the Spotpass resurrections, they're optional and it gave us her Hot Springs Scramble conversations with Gangrel. Probably the biggest legacy for me besides introducing me to FE is the easter egg hunt that any visit to the older games now provide. I get to see all these elements and there's that little buzz when you figure out that a given thing went into Awakening. They put a lot of effort into it all, and the fact that they thought it would be the final game makes me ponder every time I recall it. Both for what we might not have had if the series had ended, and for appreciating it as a game.
weird to say that a fire emblem game was pivotal to my development as a person, but this game really was and it makes me so happy to see other people who loved it make cool stuff out of it even today, great cover fr fr

This was very nice, but that little outro sound at the end means you can't listen to it on repeat without the interruption, which is a big disappointment. I think it's generally advisable not to use any intro or outro sounds when posting music in case people want to do that.
