When I watch a remastered version compared with the original, I think the graphics of the original are far superior. It feels like the remastered version is just basically scaled up, losing a lot of the detailing in the process.

This video kinda highlights what major assholes the Minbari are. Earth shot first, completely agree. But to wipe out every human colony on the way to Earth, on top of "Minbari never lie, and we'll kill you if you say we do" and lie all the time, and are so pissy about the Blackstar when it was coming back to take out a ship it disabled... All of their "pure blood" talk can shove it.

The Agamemnon deserves her own series. She's a ship with history. I remember when this episode aired and everyone who missed it was telephoning anyone who recorded it.

I remember watching this when it aired in the 90s, and I've watched it a couple of times on DVD. I know what will happen, but I still get anxious, fearful, and teary eyed at the climax of the scene. It's a testament to the show's excellent writing that it still has that effect even throughout the years.

I've seen the whole series and I don't remember this at all. I guess I'll have to go back and watch it.

What made this show great was the music. Either with the Agamemnon on its suicide run, or when marines were invading B5 during 'shattered dream', the directors knew there was no need to needless dialogue when the music score could make it much more powerful!

I loved that shot of the Aggy coming through the blast amazing effects for the early 90's testimony to what was achievable on a small budget all on Apple Macs at the time too. The actress who was the Senator also appeared as a Romulan Commander in Star Trek TNG, she's always very distinctive with her accent. It is sad that we lost another B5 actor Mira Furlan RiP another gone beyond the rim to join so many others.

They should dust-this off and give it a good remake like battlestar galactica.

B5 is an example of great scifi and superb storytelling. Sure people will point out the old effects, but the story and the acting is the actual measure of the show. Very very few TV series approach this level. The last two series to reach those heights of story and acting were "The Expanse" and "Game of Thrones". But with the last 10 years I don't think we will ever see the likes again.
