@@teaganross We ended the run at 37 points so close but just outta range. The two full brick out matches really threw me off sadly. I played very little TCGs in the past and this is my first real go at it so that room was ultra intimidating for my first "big" event lol. Cannot wait for my next one.

@@teaganross Side note... I kept thinking how familiar you looked when we were playing but totally didn't think to ask. I am fairly certain we're semi local! I am pretty sure I saw you at my locals set champs for Ursula :)

@@Dadcana Could be. I'm in the greater bay area. I did play a set championship up in the greater Seattle area when I was visiting some family. I'm up there somewhat often.

@@teaganross I feel the same! Didn't get any Ursulas this time, but consistently made Top 8/bubble so I feel like my skill is a lot better even if the results don't show it yet.

That's usually where I start when I'm deck building. But I ultimately don't think Deckbuilding is my problem. Its mental and consistent play. I get really defeated mentally when my board gets blown up or when my hand gets completely discarded by bucky. Or when I go on a loosing streak with a deck I've been playing. I need to get better at admitting variance happens, and i should keep at the decks i've been practicing.

I always try to be open about my experiences because I know there are tons of other people with the same experiences.

@@teaganross after 4 set champs without making top 4, and a DLC also not playing great, I keep reassuring myself that a lot of other people have probably grinded just as hard at TCG’s with less success than I have had

Maybe I wasn't clear. Its not so much that he was missing them. It's that he was trying to draw for them late. After I'd already moved into my turn and started playing cards. It is not a required trigger, correct. Ill have a rules video coming out soon that dives into the specific situation more, but the key moment was after I played be prepared, he played diablo. I top decked a snake. Couldn't play it on an blank board. He exerts Diablo to quest and passes, having one card in hand. I top deck Fox and still cannot commit anything to board. I say I pass the turn. He they wants to draw for my draw for turn AND for the start of his turn after I pass. He missed the diablo trigger, and didn't put his draw into the bag before I passed my turn. I don't think he should be allowed to draw in that case, but Judge ruled he could since I hadn't done anything to alter the board state and had just passed. My reading of the rules, my turn ends when I say I pass, which means he can no longer put the diablo trigger into the bag.

Great advice. It’s tough, we are here to have fun, but it’s a competitive environment and you should mentally prep before. And bring snacks ❤️

Wow I'm so surprised the judge ruled against you there! I'd call the head judge 100%. I'd argue you didn't change the board but for another player maybe they would have had 2 sudden chills in hand or something. There is argument to be made for not drawing for Diablo so when your opponent makes the decision to draw after seeing what you'd do on your turn that seems bonkers! Also even if they unintentionally miss the trigger after like 5-10 seconds max that trigger should no longer be doable especially if an action such as playing a card or passing turn occur. For all they know you could also have a card like 3 cost Sisu in hand which is impacted by hand size, perhaps you didn't play it because you wanted their hand to be bigger and had they drawn on Diablo you would have played it. So sorry that happened to you 😢

Slightly different list, but pretty cool to see! A lot of people think the ink combo is dead this set.
