I may not be part of AVID (and I don't think I'll likely join it ever), but here is my take on the logo I did last year I did just for fun. Basically, what I did in the logo first was create the elements with Inkscape (I also got the "TAT" text off an SVG file of the logo). I then compiled the elements with Vegas Pro (I believe 19 from what I remember as I did this on one of my PCs) and animated the reconstructed logo using it. For the opening animation I even referenced the so-far existing footage of the actual TAT logo as well, which in fact, I also referenced and observed when aligning and creating the typography in the reconstruction as well. After I finished rendering the raw footage in Vegas Pro, I added in a retro TV filter using Adobe After Effects after watching a tutorial on how to do it (which was actually my first time using it without a template). I thought of doing a version 2 as well by improving the glowing scanimate-esque effect on the orange star to make it more authentic and even more accurate to the actual partial footage (like what some Blender logo remakers would do to the 20th Century Fox logos) as well as adding a "DISTRIBUTED BY" moniker above the "TAT" text like its then-sister company PITS Films (which both fanfares were done by the same composer), but I wasn't motivated enough to do it.
