The Helms Deep scene with Helm hammer was fire. Like Mt. DOOM levels of fire. Like Mt. DOOM levels of PEAK... Overall 10/10 movie.

I am a huge Tolkien fan. I really enjoyed the movie. Going to see it again next week and already preordered the bluray. I think your comments were right. I had some issues with some filler scenes, but nothing important and the animation (the movements, not the drawings) was not smooth, therefore it was distracting (negatively). Otherwise the story is well presented with the adaptations to the movie format acceptable

Ariana was outstanding throughout the whole film just like Cynthia. But Cynthia did her own stunt while singing those powerful notes. She was also the character with the most feelings if I can say ? Her relation w her father, sister, glinda, fiyero, morrible and even Oz at the end. Throughout those relationships w had sooo many different aspects of her which she nailed everytime and thats why I would give it to her more 💖💚

I think they both need recognition! But if I had to pick one it would be Cynthia she was absolutely incredible in every way and to sing whilst flying upside down. BELTING that's amazing talent 👏

I agree that they both deserve it. As a theatre kid…I would give it to Ariana…she totally transformed into this character even down to the way she talks and sings…this was not Ariana the pop princess…this was Ariana as Glinda the good. Cynthia’s performance was stellar and her vocals were undeniable but I still felt like there was too much of Cynthia in the character of Elphaba and I wasn’t as impressed by her transformation.

Dorthy is not even in it ok I’m the musical on broadway you see her shoes and legs once never again this is mainly before wizard of oz and a little after Dorthy leaves oz. It is about the friendship but the musical also talks about social issues and how they stereotyped Elphaba to be evil. It she was actually really kind and it was the wizard who was evil. Also this is I’m 2 parts and it will be just like the real musical and they will just pick up the story where they left off. You are getting both Glinda and Elphaba side right now and the whole time. So if you don’t like the story maybe you should just forget about reviewing it because you obviously already missies so much you where supposed to get from part 1 so either pay more attention and even rewatch the part 1 or just don’t review it because even things by 5 year old sis got you didn’t .

The only thing I don't like is what they did to the wizards..

It was unfortunate. There were plenty really great scenes, like when Gary Puddles was in the witness stand or when Arthur was retreating into himself when his childhood traumas were being shared to the world. All the good stuff just got buried under a molasses of meaningless musical meandering.

The most realistic way this reset would happen is: they keep the mandoverse but it ends soon after so they can start the “next phase of the mandoverse” and the sequels are no longer canon. So in this way Disney keeps their streaming content and burn away their cinematic failure and start over.

I'm so glad to hear that it's a good series. I've been hesitant with some of the shows that disney has been doing lately.

The Netflix way is the best having it all at once. Heartstopper S1 was the best but S2 was mediocre.
