Why do I remember this as the xenomorph from Alien franchise. I could have sworn that’s what it used to be

Friendly reminder that through FOX, Disney owns the Alien franchise; meaning they can remake this attraction with the Xenomorphs if they wanted. :)

We experienced it with a 7 and 10 year old, and it was terrifying, me the kids had my jean jacket over our heads the whole time it was traumatic just listening and feeling that the creature was near you

I wish I had rode this when it was still around, I was practically an infant going to toddler during the rides final years of its operation, and was 5 years old when it had closed. And I only ever got to experience its replacement, stitches great escape once; and was so grossed out I never went into that building ever again.

I’m imagining that this is what Area 51 must feel like

Ten year old me screeched at the top of my lungs when I experienced this in December 2000. I was no good.

I had just recently married my wife when I took her to this attraction. She screamed like a banshee and that's when I knew I found the right woman. Such an excellent moment. I know it's gone now, but it will always be special to me.

I got to ride this when I was in High School. We got to go there for a school trip, it was awesome.

I think i went on this ride as in the queue I didn’t what going to and i felt scared the people frout of me were laughing I really scared went dark and i felt cold air and hissing lol

This was definitely 1 of my favorites rides! I love the mummy but I miss this. And when they put the new one at islands of adventure I hoped it was good. I personally feel the old one was way better.

No because I would have BEGGED my parents to go on this with me if it was still around!!! I would have! My parents only told me that it was beyond what they thought and something new and literal batshit crazy and it was amazing. My cousin saw it as a form of punishment because she's was a bitch the whole time at Disney world when they took her 😂😂. Now we had stich...and I love that one regardless of what people say and I still wished that I got to experience this! I think of it as like the movie alien (ik it's not Disney but it gave me that vibe) and call me wired I like it...a shame

Whoever was laughing the whole time is fucked up. I can't believe that they found this 'funny' while dozens (if not all) of the children in the audience were screaming because they were having literal heart attacks while the alien was very realistically breathing down their necks. I am both mad and glad that they closed this ride; It seems like it would have been a nice experience, but they could have set an age requirement or at least had a sign that says, "Hey, this ride will scare the living shit out of your child!"

I remember going on Stitch's Great Escape and forcibly pushing up the restraint bars on my shoulder before it started because it hurt me so bad. Can't imagine what the pain on this one would have been like lol!

Went back in 2018 and asked an employee about it.. since I hadn’t been since 2000.. they got rid of it because it was too scary. Kids are weak!

I closed my eyes but on this ride it didn’t matter because the alien comes right to you 😭 terrifying

This ride fucked my shit up when I was 8. The video doesn't quite do it justice. The fuckin place was pitch black. This seems to have been shot in like night vision or something.

I went in 1997. It was awesome. I was 18 and I have no idea why anyone would complain about it. It felt very real. Awesome. Shame they did away with it.

Lol. I had such a viceral reaction to being on this ride that I completely freaked out. Those shoulder things lock us all in but I got so scared and my adrenaline rushed so bad that I when I stood up, all the restraints came unlocked for everyone. haha.

So glad I got to experience this as a kid before they changed it because it was so scary. It was by far the coolest thing at WDW back then.

This attraction was indeed terrifying. I was 11 years old in 2001 when I experienced this ride. The shoulder restraints pushed down hard asf on my shoulders when the alien left the tube. I squeezed the adult woman’s hand hand next to me hard as hell.
