Boston University LipDub 2009
On a chilly day in early December 2009, over 120 students from different walks of life at Boston University came together to make a LipDub video to two of Jackson 5's famous songs: I Want You Back and ABC. As with all LipDub videos, the music video is recorded all in one take, with careful coordination between all of the students to ensure a fluid, exciting video.
The video took just over a month to organize and shoot, and it truly was a group effort led by the Kevin Lee, the VP of IFC, Sam Minkoff, the President of Programming Council, and film student Geogia Poirvre, along with cooperation from the university administration, buildings and grounds, student
activities office, and many more divisions on campus.
Boston University is located in the heart of Boston and is a private, nonsectarian, coeducational research university. BU has more than 4,000 faculty members and more than
18,000 undergraduate students.

This is amazing. I attended grad school at BU from '91 to '93-feel quite proud of the ingenuity of BU students...all in one take?! I showed this to my mom-at first she thought the blond haired student on the 2nd verse was off lip wise-I said she wasn't, mom watched it again and agreed. Great job by all involved...GO BU is right!

BU alum here. Why wasn't the university this much fun when I was there? I remember being stressed about my GPA mostly.

Thought the girl at the 2:28 mark, with the purple scarf and guitar was the most impressive out of what I noticed on the first viewing. Perfect timing, and perfect lipsynching--spot on. GREAT job. But everyone did pretty well, in general. Wondering how much time and practice went into making this. Too bad there isn't a 'Making of' video, as well. Would be interesting to see, as long as it was well edited and didn't drag on too long.
