    • @mattblackk8597
      @mattblackk8597 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Telman Ride it's the original exhaust, just cut 6" out the middle and welded the back bit back on but at a different angle then rubbed it down and painted in high temp paint and wrapped the front pipes.

    • @mattblackk8597

      Not Real just LED ones, rear ones from an American company called oznium.com front are just strip LED's off of eBay, both come with sticky pads on the back so they can be stuck pretty much any where.

    • @mattblackk8597
      @mattblackk8597 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sarders front one is the original cut down, I cut the metal bracket down that goes inside to get it closer to the tyre, rear is a plastic one off of eBay, I welded a bracket to the swinging arm to mount it so it's all ways in the same position to the tyre.

    • @mattblackk8597
      @mattblackk8597 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +xTrAx I used the shadow as it looks a lot bigger than a 125 and has a v twin engine so it fills up the engine bay nicely, you could cut the back box off and have 2 Seperate pipes but it would be very loud, up to you tho.

    Whitewall covers were on eBay, just search the Internet for 'portawall' or 'atlas' whitewall covers and there's some company's that sell different sizes as a set so you can do front and back wheels. Really easy to fit, search TH-cam if your stuck and there's some tutorials and hints in places that sell them!! Hope this helps.

      +Paul Goodey didn't change the jets, it really made a very minimal difference in the performance, I did read somewhere that one head is jetted smaller than the other but when I checked mine they were both the same so I left the carbs all standard.

    • @mattblackk8597
      @mattblackk8597 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Paul Goodey I know the exhaust pipes are different sizes just where they come out of the head, the one nearest the back of the bike was smaller, most probably needs a bit more of a restriction, the only problems I had with mine idling was when I tried to start it with no air filter fitted, it wouldn't even tick over. Glad you like it.

    Like the indicators in the tubes. Where did you find those? I have been thinking of a hoop. Got a c spring solo seat mounted and making a new battery box. Put a 21 on front and an 18 on back.

  • @mattblackk8597
    @mattblackk8597 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    The exhaust is the standard one but I removed the back baffle just by drilling out the 3 rivets that hold it in then I cut 6" out the middle and removed the baffle from where the 2 pipes go in then welded it back but turned the end piece sideways so it was more of a slash cut, I also removed the front heat shield and wrapped it, sanded the back pipe and sprayed it black with high temperature paint. It sounds a lot but it's a simple job if you know some than can weld.

    • @--DEM--
      @--DEM-- ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man, love what you did there. Am on a zero budget build so looks like I'll go for modifying the stock exhaust too. Got one issue tho, one of the previous ownders went in the back with a hole saw (taking out the final baffle first) so the mid baffle is a goner. Which one did you remove exactly? From what I gather you removed the very first one?

    • @mattblackk8597
      @mattblackk8597 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@--DEM-- it was a long time ago so can’t really remember what was inside the exhaust when I cut the 6” out the middle, you could try replacing the last baffle someone’s cut out, just a round disc that slides into the back with a smaller pipe going through the middle of it, basically your just making the hole smaller coming out the end so it makes the exhaust quieter. If that’s what your after that is. Or just cut it in half and see what’s inside, take it out what you find if you want it louder.
