    SM10-T grind 58 deg 4 bounce is amazing in the South Texas Gulf Coast area. I am amazed how I can control the spin around the green. It works great in our thin sand bunkers too. I use my SM8 54 10 S in the fluffy sand and fairways. My next purchase is the 50 deg. SM9 with 9S bounce. I am very confident with these wedges and my scoring is beginning to show it. Great video guys. Glad I found your channel.

    I went for the 8 degree LS. I've always had too much spin and a high launch, and that was with an old 7 degree Ping. Absolutely pulverizing drives now, and my ball flight is vastly better. It almost doesn't even seem real to me. So stoked about this Cobra.

    Great video. You guys really know your stuff and are great at communicating. As a sweeper myself I am also rocking the t grind in my 58 degree glide 4.0 and with great success. The low bounce is helpful fir a sweeper on tight lies. The high bounce on my g710 irons 8-s can be too much bounce for me in some lies. I am considering adding a 54 degree glide 4.0 or s159 with either 54 sgrind or 56 s grind bent to 54 to get that lower bounce. Any thoughts on that? Is the s159 54 degree available in the b grind? Have you guys tried the s159 t grind 62 degree? I am imagining that being a useful weapon in my bag soon. s159 vs glide 4.0. Any loss of forgiveness? More accurate? Also where are you guys located for fitting? Idea for video… G430 7 wood vs Cleveland hywood 17 degree vs stealth2 3 hybrid vs callaway paradym super hybrid

    • @MilesOfGolf

      Thank you for the kind review! 1. Taking a 56 and bending it down to 54 could definitely be an option for you. As we always say, we never know until we try it out in the bays. And no, they do not make the 54 in the b grind. 2. We haven't noticed a ton of difference in forgiveness/performance in Glide vs. S159. Biggest differences are aesthetics and overall feel, which can very from golfer to golfer. 3. We have 2 locations- One in Ann Arbor, MI and the other in Cincinnati, OH.

    How does Darkspeed Max compare to Aerojet Max compare to LTDx Max and the AirX.

    • @MilesOfGolf

      Darkspeed max, Aerojet max, and LTDx max are all meant to do very similar things! They all have weights in the heel portion of the club to change the center of gravity to either help with a right miss, or to add stability for a golfer who consistently strikes it on the heel. AirX, similarly to all the aforementioned models, is meant to help a golfer who struggles with a right miss. However, due to its offset nature, AirX is much more draw biased than all the others. Also, you loose any sort of adjustability that you would see in the other models of drivers. Lastly, AirX also comes with a lighter stock shaft, catered towards a golfer who doesn't have a fast club head speed.

    Off a mat...?

    • @MilesOfGolf

      Because we are located in Michigan, we are not always able to hit off of grass. We start every wedge fitting off of a mat. In this, we are able to dial it down to a certain bounce profile that is creating ideal contact. There is a certain "sound" you can hear off the mat when the bounce of the wedge matches a golfers release pattern. From there, if it's the right time of the year, we can take the wedges onto grass to try some of the shorter shots where you might manipulate the face and we can monitor what how the wedge interacts with the turf.

  • @Station2Station-du2gh

    Can you talk about the sound a bit more. I've been reading a ton of negative reports, even from folks who say they were never really concerned with sound, but this 10k is a whole new level of bad. Thanks for your opinion in this regard.

    • @MilesOfGolf

      When it comes to sound, what one person likes to hear can be different than another. G425 was a driver where people would make comments that they didn't like the sound, however, there were multiple times in fittings where customers made a note that they love the sound. When it comes to the G430 line, when talking with golfers who have tried Ping drivers in the past, they have noted that they believe that the sound has improved from previous generations. -Luke

    Maybe a little less loft on the 10k as compared to the lst?

  • @mywickedqueen3547

    So if a golfer now has the 430 LST (10.5) but has a slice (I know it's in my swing path), would switching to the 10K produce straighter drives and more or less distance? In other words, should I "Upgrade"?

    • @mjmayle1

      Had the LST and my miss was way right (out of bounds right) with the fade bias of it and would have the occasional knuckleball that would fall out of the air. I've only had the Max 10K for one round but for me, my flight straightened out and my spin was very consistent. I kept every drive in play. It sounds a lot worse than the LST but I don't care about that.

    • @MilesOfGolf

      Here at Miles, we are always very hesitant to say that a club will produce a certain result before you test it out. Theoretically, the CG placement on the 10k, compared to the LST, should help out with a miss to the right. However, every golfer is different and that's why we always suggest getting a fitting before making any upgrades.

    • @MrLittlejonboy

      @@mjmayle1I was fitted for the 10.5LST as my numbers were far too high with spin, the only way I know I can get the club going in the direction I intended is a very strong grip with my left hand. I have even lofted it up to 11.5 with 17g weight in draw setting. Personally I love the driver when hit how it’s designed to be, my drop off when not is too much. I will be looking at the 10k very soon

    • @CharlotteK2008

      Why not SFT?

  • @WIll-kk7lq

    Wouldn't the 10K sit in between the MAX and SFT? Or were ball speeds with the 10k faster than the MAX due to the carbon?

    • @MilesOfGolf

      We didn't do direct testing against the Max that day, so I don't want to say it would be faster or slower (that can also be player dependent). However, with the crown/overall head composition, it is more of a combination between the Max and the LST. Also, in fittings, we have seen spin rates of 10k average a bit lower than what the normal Max head produces.

    • @WIll-kk7lq

      So, aside from the sliding weight and slightly smaller footprint, why would someone choose the MAX over the MAX 10K? It seems more forgiving and potentially longer.@@MilesOfGolf

    • @MilesOfGolf

      The sliding weight could be the difference for a player if they need to change CG. However, we have definitely seen 10k be very popular because of both its forgiveness and speed. It's an amazing driver.

  • @joelane2845

    • @MilesOfGolf

      P790 and 245 are very similar when it comes to overall construction and what you are looking to get out of the club. However, hard to say if one is more forgiving than another. We have seen it go both ways in fittings. It all comes down to who is swinging the club.

    • @MilesOfGolf

    • @MilesOfGolf

      This is one of the main reasons they do all the bending on their side. They have set lofts they will bend them to, depending on where you are mixing the set at.

  • @kakimotoK20

    There's nothing wrong with that spin on the 245, you've got to ignore the number on the bottom of the club. To get a real comparison you'd need a 245 in 8i or something that goes the same distance to see how the spin compares. My guess is when you get to that point it becomes negligible and us normal folk should always be playing the more forgiving straighter flying 245.

    • @xBlade173

      Ppl often say that, but you need to understand ball flight. The launch and peak heights were very similar. 241 6i will have a lower flight that the 245 7i, even if it's the same loft, due to CG. If the 245 was the same loft as the 241, the ball would launch much higher in comparison and not be ideal. The 245 is for players that need the distance and height help, not a player that wants more spin/flight control.
