    Thanks Michael! When speaking on Micro-Purchase contracts under 10k and SAP simplify acquisition procedure contracts under $250k and below; I've been told that I can approach a office, company, business, organization, or agencies, that's ran by the federal government and ask to do a job or work that needs to be done and the approval for doing the work can be made by the Owner, Manager, Supervisor, or whoever is in charge right on the spot! Can you please give us the particular list of offices, agencies, or companies names, so we can go and approach them and get some work (micro/sap)? Thanks

      There are some good ones, but I think there's a ton of low value stuff out there. I highly suggest doing your homework. Ask around before buying. Be especially careful when you see big promises and speed. This market is NOT easy and it's not fast. Those two promises are BIG red flags.

    I thought middle-manning sounded like Cody Sanchez's idea of owning several businesses. I thought subbing everything out would be like renting other businesses, even better than buying them. In the end, I realized that people with a real plumbing, HVAC, or roofing business might bid on a few government jobs, but they already know how to price everything for a bid because it's already a real business. I could spend A LOT of time writing proposals and not getting anywhere, or hiring my own people and having to be a traveling PM, and the cyber-security requirements suck for a one-man show. If I was going to sell services (facilities maintenance) I'd be better off with a real local business. Also realized that entering into a construction contract with the government could be a recipe for disaster. In the final analysis, getting sucked into buying 2 books on GovCon ($60 total) was the only real loss. Got tired of trying to hock furniture, food commodities, chemicals, HVAC maintence contracts, air-cooled chillers, maybe cleaning kitch hoods, pricing septic jobs, and porta-potties. Interestingly, it did get me into doing some of the other things needed for a local business.

    I love most of your content but to say that the middleman strategy doesn’t really work or only in some cases doesn’t seem to hold a lot of weight.

      @MichaelLeJeune 3 āļŦāļĨāļēāļĒāđ€āļ”āļ·āļāļ™āļāđˆāļāļ™

      Absolutely not! What you likely needed was a partner with past performance. That's the challenge with a lot of these contracts. You can have a ton of experience in the business, but the government wants to know that you've done work with them.

    if I have a lease but it says virtual office lease and says things about use of office spaces and conference rooms will that work?

    • @MichaelLeJeune
      @MichaelLeJeune 3 āļŦāļĨāļēāļĒāđ€āļ”āļ·āļāļ™āļāđˆāļāļ™

      Probably not. They don't like virtual offices. Your best bet is your home office. UNLES, the virtual office is a fixed room. For example, if you have suite #504 or something along those lines and that is YOUR space, that's different. But if you just have a floating space, that won't cut it.

    Great video. We've been stung by the SCA Act a few times, and learned the hard way. I think we're all up to speed now, however, I have a couple of questions: 1) I was under the impression that paying H&W as cash in lieu of benefits was not allowable and not in compliance with the ACA if the employer has a qualified healthcare plan. If employees provide proof of another qualified plan (i.e. retired military w/TRICARE) then we put their H&W $$$ into an employee savings plan (not an HSA) as we were prohibited from paying cash in lieu. Is that correct or incorrect? 2) Davis Bacon....we have employees who work multiple construction contracts each day (multiple projects on a base), each with different pay rates specified. So, the employee gets paid varying rates based on the projects they are working, which can be a multi-line time split each day. This is almost impossible to manage accurately. Is there an easier way?
