I have the mark v 25 and a mini recto. Would a Badlander 25 bring something new to the table? I mean, it's another EL84
@@veiga7658 Well, to me the badlander has a different sound than the Mark or the Mini rec.
These amps are sleepers.
That sounds good man. Ill suck at dic
These amps are so good. I want one someday.
Sounds great
is it me or does every Badlander you ever hear sound like a recto with a mattress in front of it?
Thnx
Absolute Beast! Hey is that C tuning?
@@AdamNeideck-sc3ln Yes, Drop-C tuning
Sounds killer!
My newer lace sensors sounds a bit different. I think I like yours better.
Great tone
Mark iv vs a Marl iii .... which do you prefer ?
@@PK22-b7v I like them both equally. The mark IV has a modern high gain sound whereas the Mark III has a classic Mesa Mark series high gain sound.
Good playing! Nice tone also. What is the riff on 1:07? Song name
Thanks. The riff is from an original song my band plays.
@@MesaBVHT exactly this riff i heard somewhere before. Please write song name, i will be you fan so)
Beautiful
That sounds pretty badass man! Thank you!
is that cabinet front loaded or rear loaded?
Front-loaded
From this video, I feel that the badlander will sit better in the mix within a band situation. Also, it chugs more but the mark v is crunchier. Next week I’m gonna choose on between those two. Tough decision!
Nice! I’m wanting to have the ++ mod done to either my green stripe or my DRG blue stripe, but I’m a little concerned it will lose some of its aggressiveness. Stock IIIs just have a nasty, pissed off grindy quality to them. This sounds phenomenal, though. Still super aggressive after the mod.
did you get it done?my bluestripe drg is currently on the way to get it and i have had the same concern ....
I would say get a Mark V if you prefer old school metal tones and if you don't then get a Badlander which is the best Mesa amp for modern Metal tones to me. 50 watts is enough power for me and my Badlander 50 can even go into 20 watts mode for lower volumes at home.
Man that amp has a nice open big, smooth yet high gain sound like a modded JMP. I've almost considered shelling out for a Wizard.. but this may well do what I want, at a 3rd the price used.
This fryette deliverance has almost the same sound/tone I got when I played through my friends 70's 100 watt Marshall Super lead at almost full volume with a strat that had a DiMarzio X2N in the bridge, with an OCD slamming the front of the amp, out through a vintage Marshall 412 cab with greenbacks.
You messed your licks up didn’t you and had to go into another song
Как вы думаете как этот кабинет будет звучать с Mesa rectoverb??)
Whenever you’re ready to sell, I’ll pay top dollar for that pit
Finally a JEL 20 review playing some Jake riffs.
Sounds like the odd warm is more compressed, run it at 18volts and it will be a lil more open sounding .
Nice Ampeg amp too! VL series head?
Yes, VL 1001
@@MesaBVHT Awesome! You have two unique heads then. I'd love to get them both. Do you use the VL-1001? I think those amps have really unique high gain sounds.
I do use the VL1001. I only play it at home, I may take it out for a gig someday
@@MesaBVHT awesome 👌
U got the treble slider too high up for it to sound like that. Run an eq pedal into the mark with the bass sliders down to get it tighter
wow..odd sounds bad lol OCD all the way
Wow there's a big difference. OCD fulltone sounds so much better it's not even funny.
Love the badlander. I won the 100 watt which is to much power for me but I’m glad it does offer the 10 and 20 wat
Sounds meaty. Pretty good. Whats the guitar model? Guitar tuning?
Esp eclipse with fishman fluence modern active PUPs tuned down a whole step
@@MesaBVHT thank you bro
I just love the Mark series sound with that tight scoopy chug.
Too much bass
Wow, that sounds amazing! Great riffs too as I'm also a huge Jake E Lee fan. Rock on brother.
Fantastic.. Can you summarise the differences you find between the JEL and the JJ Jr? Are they different enough that you would by both or prefer one over the other
To me the JJ is dark and mean sounding and the JEL has a bright aggressive punch to it. They are both great amps, you can't go wrong with either one. If I had to choose one over the other I would go with the JEL because I'm a huge Jake E Lee fan.
Wow! Killer tone! Killer playing! 🤘😠🤘
What version of the OCD is the ODD based on?
I think the ODD box is based off of the OCD in general
It is based off the V.1 OCD.
Warm audio says it is based on version 1.4
Which one is tbe better all round amp? I play classic and hard rock and have wondered which is better
For me The Mark V 25 is the more all around amp.
Thanks!!!
This is what the pedal really sounds like, not that good I think
You got more skin than a rotisserie chicken bro! Sounds awesome 👌
nice setup - i have a 4x12 krank cab with eminence llegend v12s, i wondering how it would like with the krrankenstein head?
The Krankenstein will sound smoother through the 412 cab with eminence legends.
The head is bright alll around so it pairs best with darker speakers.
Whats the settings cause i am getting that soon
Everything at noon except for the presence sweep and volume, I forgot where I had those.
@@MesaBVHT umm noon
@@sabbathbeast1322 12 O’clock position
Sounds great! The Deliverance is an incredible amp. Very aggressive and beautiful at the same time. Especially these early revisions!
I had this head . A BBE sonic maximizer going through the effects loop does wonders.
Why are we comparing amps when one has the kids scooped all the way out? are they both scooped? Can’t see the tone settings on the BL.
Thanks for posting. The Krank Revs/Steins have the most unique tone to them. How does it compare to the VHT in terms of tightness and articulation?
It's not as articulate as the VHT but it is just as tight.
Is this also Loop Modded?
It does not have a loop mod
What Mark IIB revision is this (RP-9A, B, C)? BTW sounds great!
I don’t know what revision it is
Those are cool
