Wow! Sounds amazing! Did you compose this track yourself? Is it an original creation of yours or a track from an OST made by someone else?
ThanksI composed it myself so your commentary means a lot!
Wow! That's great to hear! This track seems so dreamlike, like you are entering a fantasy world. I could tell from this short track alone, that you have alot of potential! I even downloaded it because I liked it so much. Are you a freelance composer, in which you compose music for clients, by the way? I am looking for people to hire to compose music for my upcoming novel in the distant future. Please let me know if you do such. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Very good my fried. I can recommend pay attention to the high frequencies, they hit too hard IMHO. Otherwise, very well done. Continue doing this!
Thanks for the com and the advice!
Nice work bro ❤
Thaaaaank you Fish 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
If you told me you are Sawano's apprentice, I would 100% believe you, because DAMN! I feel Sawano essence in this soundtrack. This sounds absolute amazing. I just loved the way you used the synths. Also the way you started the song with the 2 synths layer, then slowly adding more and more instruments, that's literally how Sawano do a considerable amount of his soundtracks. So with me being one of biggest Sawano fan, I will give more feedback, but from this point, don't take everything as true, I don't have music theory knowledge. I just really love to pay attention to the way Sawano and others composers do things that really makes them unique mixed with personal taste, but just keep in mind that I really loved it! Sounds amazing!! At 0:22, the instrument that starts there (Track 4) is just amazing, but there was one thing that clicked in my mind in the very moment it stopped playing before the main part. I don't really know the proper terms for it, but it just felt more natural to me if it had a little more variation. I literally can listen in my head a variation of that like, as I said, the instrument starts at 0:22. At 0:38, just popped in my head a variation with a higher note. Don't know why but just felt more natural in that way. I'm not exactly good at explaining, but what I'm trying to say is, there is that loop where each box repeats a small melody 4 times right? In the second box, at the fourth time, that melody would play slightly different, in a higher note. The best example I can remember know is the beginning of "Blumenkranz". Right at the start, in 0:00 of Blumenkranz, there is that synth that keeps repeating, but at 0:06, a variation in a higher note happens. That's kinda what I'm trying to say, but in your case of that song you wrote, that higher note only happens in the fourth repetition of the box. that higher note in my head really fits at 0:39 then 0:58, then 1:17. Anyway, you seriously should consider composing and posting more soundtracks. If you ever ended up creating something like Spotify and Bandcamp, even if you newer compositions are not in Sawano style, I would totally listen to it. I even want to put that one in my playlist. Would love a link to download a flac file of that. Cheers!

Funny take on this one, I didn't use 8dioMajestica for at least 1 year because I was thinking that the sound is terrible, but It's definitly not if you mix decently your music! Also, if you want to create music in the style of Sawano, be ready, you will probably spend most of your time finding a good synth pluck sound and the melody that fits with. ( 2h+ for me )
Very pretty! 🤗
Thank you! 😊
That sounds really good!
Thanks so much!
I must say, I consider myself one of the biggest fan of Sawano, I really do appreciate every tiny detail he puts in each sound that contributes to the whole track, I really feel every single emotion within my heart when I listen to him. I could write more but let's just move forward to tell what really matters. This little project you created, it really sounds like him. I genuine felt the Sawano vibe, I don't know much theory myself, I'm taking piano lessons have been 2 months and theory is hard as fuck for me. I hope to compose something in Sawano style as well in the future. I believe you are in the right way. I would love to see more releases on his style. If I could ask a favor, TH-cam really impacts on the audio. Do you have any download link of a lossless version? Also as I'm starting to study music recently, is there any specific book or term I should look in the future when I feel I'm ready to start composing like Sawano?
@@ThePhilterExperience Hey! So great to meet an other huge fan of Sawano! I’ve a lot of things to say so I will try to avoid writing a messy message ! Firstly, I do not know any theory or… I would say I probably learnt instinctively. When I started piano lessons, I had a teacher who tried to teach me classical music so I left after two lessons because I only wanted to play emotional and powerful soundtracks. So I have learnt piano by myself, with the help of Synthesia videos on TH-cam. I tried also to learn music theory by myself but I just hate that, so I quickly stopped. Since you are a Sawano fan, you probably listened a lot to his musics so you already know instinctively how to compose music like him, but you do not have the foundations yet. It doesn’t means you will succeed directly when you will start composing also, and it will probably sounds shit like most of my music. But it’s all good because we are learning ! That’s funny because we want the same thing! So here are my recommendations based on my path and some advices I’ve gotten : - Try to find a teacher that could teach you what you want. For example, you show him a song you want to learn on the piano, and he teaches you some theory about it, and shows you how to play it. You can explain that you don’t push music theory too much but more developing your ears. - If you really can’t with a teacher, the truth is that you can still compose without any music theory. You will sometimes feel that you lack knowledge but It’s fine because there is planty videos on TH-cam. - Pick a song you really like, type on TH-cam « [Song Name] synthesia video », and try to learn it by memorizing the notes. The first day will be hard, the next day easier, and so on. You will notice that everytime after a good night sleep, you will improve the way you play ( faster, smoother… ) - The more you like the song, easier it will be to learn it. - By doing this, and every time you finish to learn a song, you will learn which notes goes together on the right hand and the left hand. It’s basically learning a scale. With that you can already compose a song. After a moment, you will be able to improvise and make any melody on that scale because you brain automatically tells you which notes to play to make it sounds good. ( it’s really hard to explain…) - A concrete example : a friend who have learnt piano professionally and went to music school many years was shocked by « the way I play ». When she said that, she meant the way I put emotions and colors while playing. The touch of the notes etc… She can’t do that because she only have learnt the classic way but on the other side she is way better that me technically. - Take a look at Project Emu on the Sawano channel, there is a tutorial video on how he composes his songs roughly. - When you feel that you are ready to start, learn some basic knowledge about composing music on a computer. - I would recommend to subscribe to Opus ( 1 month free, then 9,99$/month) and Komplete Now ( I believe one month free also, then 9,99$ ), you will have all the instruments you need to compose like Sawano. Don’t make the mistake like me to buy for 2000+$ VSTs, It’s not useful when you are learning and at the really beginning. Also there is many many many free VSTs ( LABS, The Free Orchestra…). - Try to reproduce Sawano songs firstly, then compose yours. Always train your ears by analyzing Sawano songs. Sadly I don’t have the project or any file related to that song anymore, I deleted a lot things recently. If you have any specific question, even though I’m still learning how to compose, you can send me a mail at yaniskellil0@gmail.com! Thanks for your kind words!
@@ydndl Can't relate enough lmao!! I just feel the same. My teacher is kinda the same, the problem is, it's the only public music school in my city so it's the only free place available. To be honest, I don't know if I'm wrong but I feel like it would be more efficient for me to learn by myself through youtube by playing tutorials on the soundtracks I enjoy. The thing about learning it instinctively really inspires me, you done a great job without knowing music theory. I started to read a beginner book about music theory and to be honest after 20 pages I just couldn't follow it, like when the explanation starts I really can't get the thing into my head, I feel dumb because I was reading the Sawano thread on the forum VI Control and barely could understand the comments when someone starts to analyze his music. I just find music theory way too hard to keep going. As you said, after listening to Sawano so much, I believe I can compose something that resembles his style. Whenever I'm listening to new tracks composed by him, once in a while, I try to imagine the next seconds of the music like "I think the next note will be higher then lower again" and sometimes I get it right so I might know a least a little about the way he compose. Just a question, since you mentioned you let the music theory aside, do you know how to make cover by yourself? There are a lot of underrated soundtracks made by Sawano that doesn't have a single cover on TH-cam and I really wanted to learn the skill to make cover by ear. I will try my best to go through the "acceptance stage". Spending time to create a music and at the end think "lol this sucks" is a natural part as you said, so will try my best to just see these bad songs as a learning how to be better. Lmao the video you mentioned about how he composes, I saved that video a long time ago, I thought it will be very useful for the moment I start to play around VST's. I loved that video. You know, the story about you and your friend, it really inspires me, the reason I never sat down to really play around VST''s, whether to compose or make covers was because when I started the study about music theory and failed miserably I kinda just gave up like "If I don't learn this, I'm sure I can't do anything", but now I really feel like trying and learn for hours without the music theory. I really want to make something emotional and powerful. Thanks for the email! If I ended up making a sawano cover I probably will ask for feedback if you don't mind. But once again, this song you made really sounds great like I would put it in my music collection xD
