    First actual proof was when I looked at myself in the mirror after chanting in front of gohonzon at home. My sponsor helped with setting up Gohonzon and the altar. When they left I continued to chant and went to the bathroom after washing my hands and looked at myself in the mirror. I was totally shocked. I couldn't recognize myself..while physically the same person I didn't have the usual scowl or the mean eyes. My sponsor did remind me before he left that 'you'll see actual proof right away (and it's different for everyone).' I too am an artist and work with my eyes so seeing actual proof with my own eyes was a strong conviction that chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo really, really works! !

    How is this meaning of Karma different than natural physics?

  • @anthonypc-248
    @anthonypc-248 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I'm struggling to make sense of this definition. If it means "action" then how does it also include non-action, like thoughts? Would it be easier to say what Karma is not? Maybe this and other sources I've considered are just keeping it vague, or the concept of Karma itself is half-baked. So far what makes most sense to me is naturalistic determinism. And I still value the chronological experience of the thoughts my brain produces and the resulting choices I am predetermined to make which lets me have the illusion of free will. Without omniscient access to the future, there's still cause to engage in the hopes and efforts which will play their part in determining future outcomes. So accepting the complex reality of determinism, on the level of natural physics, is not a worldview that comes with defeatism or apathy, for me. I just don't pretend that I can out-chant natural causality.... if that's what this explanation of Karma means to claim.

    Please repent, turn away from sin, and follow after Jesus Christ. He is coming back soon. These are the End Times. Many people have seen Him. It's not God's will that anyone perish but all repent to receive eternal life. God lives everyone equally. I don't want anyone to be disappointed for all eternity. These are the End Times. Follow after Jesus Christ if you desire eternal life. And please reject the covid-19 vaccine. It belongs to satan.

    Well done 👏🏽 Thank you 😊 Sharing. Important topic of Today's language. Thank you all for drawing a line between Buddhist concepts and today's language 🙏🏽 On a personal level i pray first I am a Buddha I chant and write a daily list of what I appreciate today now. I read short excerpts from Writings of Nichiren Daishonin almost daily as well as something from Daisaku Ikeda. I try to get others to do the same. Yes i focus on improving my prayer as I chant with phrases such as Conviction No doubt No Prayer goes unanswered. I am a Buddha I must win for the sake of kosen-rufu. So much 😂 more. Keep moving forward Buddhas! Use the eternal formula Advance in Faith, Practice and Study Daily You have already won!

    This is incredibly Wonderfully! Thank each of You Sooooo Much🎉 So complete 🎉I'm an SGI Practitioner and Medical Practitioner who changed his medical approach and pushes others around the world to do the same largely because of the wisdom gained from Nichiren Buddhism and the guidances from all over the Presidents of the SGI. I say you all said Everything! I would just use a few words of my approach focus as MIND, BODY and RELATIONS. Someone said this too but I too feel that not all depression is about oneself but people picking up the vibes from somewhere around the world of something that needs to change. Thus, i chant for me AND accomplishment of kosen-rufu NOW, THIS MOMENT and anything specific that i may know. I also pray to Decrease Negative Angry Thoughts in Myself and World Such as Arrogance Jealousy Grudges Hatred And Increase Positive or Buddha Mind Thoughts of Wisdom Courage Compassion Confidence Gratitude In the same list Change in the Mind Thoughts will also change the weather.
