After years of weighing the pros and cons of different sized RVs, we have finally bought our first tiny trailer and couldn't be more excited! We want to share our experiences in the hopes that it will help someone else dreaming about travel in a trailer.

Quick Visit to Copper Breaks Texas State Park
We did not have enough time at Copper Breaks Texas State Park this visit since we were just checking it out on our way home from another State Park. This is another park that is going on our list for a longer stay in the future!

We spent a gorgeous day at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in the Texas Panhandle. This place is HUGE and definitely needs a longer visit in the future.

The trails at Cleburne State Park ended up being some of our favorites so far! It's no wonder so many people return again and again to hike or bike there. This video is a glimpse of the Coyote Run Nature Trail
A couple of Easy Trails at Cleburne Texas State Park

After getting set up at camp, we decided to hike two short & easy trails at Cleburne State Park. The Crappie Trail and The Bluecat Bottoms Fishing Trail. Both were easy walks along the (mostly) shaded lakeside. Rather than retracing our steps, we crossed the road and went down a bit to get on the more Challenging Fossil Ridge Trail for about half a mile to make a circle back to our car.

LBJ Grasslands - Free Camping in Texas

We went to Dinosaur Valley State Park at the very end of December, just for the day. We enjoyed hiking around this unique (and popular!) park in Cleburne, TX and look forward to taking our teardrop camper for a longer stay in the future.

In this video we will take you around a fairly quick tour of most of the sites and day use areas of Lake Livingston Texas State Park. We did not realize, until after we put the video together, that we did not include much of the Pin Oak Loop, which is where we stayed! It's a great little loop, with lots of trees, electricity and restrooms with showers. Thanks for watching our video.

Just stumbled upon your channel. I like it. I'm in midlothian. Where are yall located? I've camped at lbj grasslands many times. Love the channel
Outdoor rug that runs from the whole length of your camper. Plus one for the kitchen. Plus we have a couple of kitchen things. Counter top ice maker and a 3 qt instapot. We had a indoor outdoor griddle grill electric. We use this if its just the 2 of us. I have it for my home kitch and we use it inside the house. Love all these. Leaves more time to play. Love your camper . We have also bought from Mc Clains campers in Ft. Worth. Nice dealership.
Oh my, how many people could get inside to sleep? You go what you paid for. So was the Kia.
Loved visiting this park. I was pretty much the only person here. Just wish theyd get the rain they need up there to fill that lake back up.
We did too. It makes me sad to see so many lakes so low.

Yes it is. We are looking forward to another visit for some hiking and star gazing.
We were there the first of June. It’s an ok campground. We saw a lot of spiders😩, even in the showers. I don’t like spiders. Probably a one time camping experience there for us.
I think the spiders are probably a seasonal thing...we have been seeing more of them (everywhere) recently, too! I totally understand not liking spiders, especially in the shower
We will definitely put this on our bucket list for fall 2024 or spring 2025. Great video.
Thank you! I think we forgot to mention in the video, if you go during the summer months Palo Duro Canyon has an outdoor musical drama that is spectacular! It's just also super-duper hot. The musical, TEXAS, runs Tuesday - Sunday from June - mid-August. Check their website for more info www.palodurocanyon.com Happy Camping!

Great choice...if you already have a truck! We are able to pull this with our every day car. We enjoy spending most of our time outside anyway.

Hi Larry! Funny you should mention that. When we were at Cleburne we actually did record ourselves setting up our campsite. We were so bummed when we got home and realized we had the camera on the WAY wrong speed the entire time! We will try again soon - unfortunately, we have gotten quite behind in posting our videos, so it may take a bit to be share.

That's very thoughtful of you. Gas is not quite as high here right now. We usually don't travel too far for each trip. We're good, but thank you.

Nice! When's your next Video? Is it safe camping down there w/ Boarder issues? How about Solo-camping?
We are trying to post a new video every weekend. Our next one is scheduled for Saturday morning at 10am CT. We think camping is as safe down here as it is anywhere else in the US. So far, we have not run into any issues. But people are people, so always be cautious.

My teardrop needs 2 doors! I don’t want to have to climb one my husband and he doesn’t want to climb over me !
lol. I completely understand that! We love almost everything about our teardrop, but if there was one thing we could change, it would be to add another door. Having only one door is not as challenging as I had expected it to be, but it's definitely not as convenient as two doors! :)

Hi! We haven't had it long enough to know for sure. We used it a bit back in October and it seems like it's going to be great! This summer we will let you know in another video.
Lake Livingston state park is one of my all time favorites. We have relatives that live in the area. And every time we get a chance we go camping there. The only downside to that state park is swimming in the summer. Time is almost non-existent because the water is so stagnant. Other than that, it is A. Beautiful state park
Thanks for the warning that this park can be a bit yucky in the summer...I bet it's beautiful in the spring, though! We really enjoyed it in early December and are looking forward to going back for another visit one day. Maybe we will see you there sometime. Happy Camping!
@@TheJauntyJs Yes, we really enjoy going to league Livingston state park in Brownwood, Texas state park as well. They also have a big beautiful lake view and better swimming
