    Hi sergi, can i get the acusolve solver exec directory please Is the following one correct? Please, reply if any nody knows... "C:\Program Files\Altair\2018\acusolve\win64\bin"

    Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. Can I get the description file used in this video? Or any detail? Why is the pipe sliced in a half? Is the pipe empty?

    I did not get how it works. Because you selected center node of the rigids with SPCD. That means you defined a point on which acceleration acts. Acceleration is a body force and it acts every point of the structure. Could you please explain the logic behid it?

    Hi Sergi, thank you very much for this video. I have one problem though, when I go to the Solver Job Launcher it doesn't auto fill 'Solver exec dir'. I've tried picking random files in hope it'll work but its hasn't and there are a lot of files that I'd have to go through to find the correct one. Could you tell me the correct location for this please. Duncan

      Hi Desmond, please make sure that your have installed the CFD solvers in addition to the HyperWork Desktop installation. If you have CFD solvers installed please choose the AcuSolve directory in the installation folder under 'Solver exec dir'

    Hi, I have some questions I was hoping someone could answer. I am trying to model a sandwhich structure with carbon fibre skins and aluminium honeycomb core and then perform a 3 point bending test in the software if possible. 1. Could someone please explain what the reason is for selecting PCOMPP, PSOLID etc, what are the reasons for choosing one of them over another? 2. Which compersite property: PCOMPP, PSOLID, PSHELL, etc, do I need to select for the task I want to achieve (3-point bending simulation)? 3. Another question relates to my understanding of the MAT 8 card....would I be correct in saying that as MAT8 only asks for the in-plane properties, it would not be possible to get proper results for a 3-point bending test in the software? (Or does the software still work this out?) 4. Would I need to use the MAT9 card for what I am trying to do and in that case what composite property do I select, PCOMPP, PSOLID, PSHELL, etc? 4. If I select for example PCOMPP for the honeycomb properties, do I have to select PCOMPP for the carbon fibre skin properties? Regards

      Hey , you need to install HyperWorks Solvers exec file in order to have Optistruct installed

    Hey i need help on my thesis i have to mesh a sphere on a area and make sure that the contact place between sphere and plan has fein elements as the rest. I should use hexa elements or tetramesh. Can you please help me because i´m new working with hypermesh thx in advance for your answer Edouard
