I use a heat-erasable pen like a normal pen, and I draw directly on the felt fabric. When I finished embroidering, I used a hair dryer to iron off the remaining ink. Sometimes I will draw them first on paper and use carbon paper to transfer on the felt. Specifically, I placed carbon paper on felt fabric, then placed the embroidery pattern on it and used a pen to draw it. The drawback of using carbon paper is that I have to try to embroider to cover all the ink.

Hello, I often use heat-erasable pens to draw patterns. I haven't traced the pattern on dark felt yet. However, I know there is a white heat erasable pen; try using this pen with dark felt.
