too late in the evening for a castle tour. maybe next time The town is known for the ruins of Rhuddlan Castle, built by order of King Edward I from 1277 to 1282, and for the site of another castle at Twthill, built by the Norman Robert of Rhuddlan about 1072. Well-preserved Rhuddlan castle has a great round tower and many surviving walls.

Nice shop layout but would have liked to seen more of the model kits etc. There seemed to be a lot of film footage on trains and all the things that support these, which did seem to take a lot of the shop space.
You missed out the model section in the middle, Ships tanks ,planes, figures cars and motorbikes.
Currently constructing the nottingham side, there is a way you just have to find it

Can anyone remember that massive slide I’m sure it was near nature land
Yes I remember, I didn't go to the far end, there was also go carts at the back of the slide as well I remember.
I agree used to love going in them in the 80s while on holiday with the family although we will be down Skegness next Saturday we will still be in the arcades
The arcades are now just a shell of what they once was in the 80s and early 90s.
I agree , the arcades from the 80's, had some great games. Pacman, Mr Do, Galaxian, Frogger so many
Why is the town so quiet and empty?
Great day 😊
Yes and the weather was good for a change :)
Nice video new sub
Thank you.

I visited this depot in 1974 when it was still operational. Found it fascinating that a depot housing diesel locos still had a turntable
This is my first visit here, and what an amazing place , I guess the turntable was used for the diesels after steam to store more locos, using the existing shed.
What a picturesque wee village
Ah, Malcs is a good model shop. Got a triang M7 from there in December!
NOT a Castle!!!! It’s a ducal Mansion . The Castle was burnt down Century’s ago and never replaced.
Por que no lo traducen en español, una lástima nos quedamos sin saber la historia. Donde queda esto ?
Superb placement. Castle remains unimpressive. Ugly plain 17th century brick replacement "castle" underwhelming. Contents mediocre to just fair. Tourist experience overpriced and not worth it. The town's not much cop either (anything old/worthwhile destroyed mostly by the Victorians and later by contemporary short-sighted local government waste and bad planning - witness catastrophically brutal-ugly Maid Marian's Way). Save your money, visitor. Try Lincoln instead - real mediaeval castle/cathedral combo. Food's better too...
nice scenery. thank you!
Your Welcome, glad you enjoyed, it was a nice walk
I remember this one coming into Wellingborough on Saturday mornings with 16ton mineral Wagons with Coal for the smoke.
had no idea this shop was there! and only about 15 minutes away from where I live, thanks for posting this video, looks like I've found somewhere to get my modelling bits and pieces.
Glad you enjoyed, great place to have a look around
@@EastMidlandsWalks-dl2qt I have actually been there a couple of weeks ago, picked up some bits and bobs I needed and an airfix Mary rose kit, then had a a chat with the staff there, friendly people and a fantastic shop, and its only about 15 minutes away from where I live.
Brilliant little shop. Just picked up a little stanton wagon from there today.
Wow!
Looks in great nick seen it so many times remember my uncle working at toton and he took me around when all the 10 was delivered it was a wonderful sight shame i did not have a camera
Good old Ilkeston. Nearly as good as Mansfield, which is not far away. Salt of the Earth, the folk of Ilkeston. Peace and goodwill.
Nice to see a DMU like this pleasing multiple generations!
my 2 son really loved 2 class 153s
Glad your son enjoyed,

Nice walk, I've not approached the viaduct from.that side before. I've flown my drone over that area a few times and have some videos on my channel. I've added your channel, it's always good to connect. 👍

Fantastiskt vackert, prenumererar gärna på din kanal och ser fram emot att se mer av dina fina videos 🎉🎉
Only managed to cop a couple of them back in the day before they were withdrawn; this one, I think and 44004, which was the first one I saw. For some reason, they were put on freight diagrams through Coventry for a while back in the late 70's for a week or two. Word got round amongst the spotters and we tried to get as many of them as we could because we didnt get to see them that often.
Nice 🎉🎉🎉
Good but very shaky. I recommend a tripod/monopod.
Looks a decent one, looks like there’s a lot in that shop. Been to some with hardly anything in, not saying it’s all their fault in these tough times, but that looks decent.
Good video :)
Glad you enjoyed it, It was a great afternoon watching all the trains go by
What a handsome locomotive. Love the sound she makes while idling and running.
Interesting thanks for sharing
Really pleased to see a shop like this...we had three in Preston but they are all gone..literally nowhere to buy kits or paint or glue etc....pissed off about it.
Thanks for sharing this video I will be coming to your shop you seem to have everything I live in Loughborough so it's only two bus journeys to get there thanks again 😊
I miss proper Toy Shops and the East Midlands! Thanks for sharing. Liked and Subbed! Cheers, Andy
Thanks for the sub!
Was there two class 50s in that yard ?
Seen every engine of that class through Chesterfield…..we use to get fed up of them at the time…..a true British Railways workhorse
I remember them at Watford as some of the earliest regular diesels after steam.
I wanted to see the o gauge stuff and you walked straight past it lol great video though
Hi Sorry I do apologise , I am still new to making videos, and capturing all the details

May add that if it was not for the Strathspey Railway and a Mr S. W. Wood, D8 would probably have ended up as scrap. However, a very good job has been done and long may it run.
The problem is that a lot of these shops are disappearing from our high streets, because the company's who make these products are over priced, people and pensioners who are on low income just can't afford those price's it's becoming a hobby for the rich,😢😢,
Yes I agree, good thing about these local Model shops, you can see what you are buying, hold it, see if its what you want, and they always have second hand items, which you can view before buying. I can't afford the prices of new models.
When I was a boy I had time but no money, when I worked I had money but no time. Now I‘m retired and have time but no money.
Is it true sports direct now have shares in Hornby? I see there adverts on here showing Hornby stock in sport's direct shops selling Hornby at sixty percent discount,
@@rbgking8889 I know that felling well .😂😂
seems an odd pairing sports direct, Hornby and Airfix, maybe just a reseller like Amazon
