Hi there Kurt, when I was up there and touring between Ponta de Oura and Malongane , you were only allowed to fish at Malongane.

I did not require a permit at Malongane, just an entry fee to that area.

@@jeetenrajpal875 Hi Jeeten, thank you for a great question. Usually it is frowned upon to slide with braid. We have an element at Margate pier that allows us to use braid. That is height. Because of this we can comfortably use braid to slide our baits out. This technique has been started an improvised by Mike. He has led the way in this regard. He can cast a mile, so using this method allows us to reach areas we normally couldn’t with a big bait. I hope this helps. 👍🙏

Hi there Jeeten, this is exactly what Mr Jeram explained, and those are the elements that we have as an advantage is the height. Also just add , sliding on braid takes more time, you cannot rush or over work your bait out, it takes us about 15 to 20 mins working our baits out very gradually. Another reason why we slide using braid, is because we need to get distance, in order to clear the rolling currents and waves in the front line, sometimes it's far out, and our throw techniques doesn't clear that distance. Casting an 8 ounce with 50lb or 80 lb JdB braid allows you to get an impressive distance past all the disruptive elements and lands in that green zone. It is quiet an effort but worth every moment when we get picked up, when all odds are against you.

@@deonnel2810 I share the same views, I like his videos and he seems to be a leka guy but the ignorance is bliss, too many people are doing this to sharks and all react the same way when told about it.

Don't worry Sir, all my shark will survive, we have handled to many of the Dusky Grey's. Sometimes we catch the same shark 3 times in the same day.

@@MAfishingadventures I find this hard to believe given the way they are handled, if that does happen then video it. There's no harm in taking a little care, that shark does not need to come all the way up onto a dry surface, wet sand would be much better. I love your videos but the fish handling is horrid.

@@sircamelot-420 will try and handle them down in the bottom. But sometimes the tide and waves are unpredictable. I appreciate your advise 🙏. Will encourage the team as well.

@@MAfishingadventures thank you sir, the last news I got of the Margate pier is that it was shut down. Maybe I am wrong.

Nelson it's been up and running from 2008 fully. We have been enjoying the Margate from before it was rebuilt. I can tell you this, it is absolutely convenient and a great fishing spot.

@@MAfishingadventures thank you because I have stayed on the beachfront there. I am just hoping the infrastructure is not going the same way as Scottsbrgh is going. It's different here in Cape Town the infrastructure still works besides the railways.

Nelson we have some great teams here working together with the municipality. Tidy Towns is doing a fantastic job maintaining the area. It's an independent Organization that waits for no person to get the job done. They have been strong. Most of the local businesses support the organization ensuring they have the proper support to overcome their challenges and maintain the community infrastructure.
