Here is a short compilation of what I’ve been able to capture during some of my time with Soar Over Hate! I have so much fun collaborating with this organization and I am excited to share some of what I do with them! ❤️
Inspired by recent hate crimes directed towards the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, I took the opportunity to collaborate with Soar Over Hate to host community events. Together we’ve hosted many events including AAPI Protection drives that provided pepper sprays, personal alarms and food to Asian Americans. Partnering with more organizations to provide free self defense classes has been a major part of my community involvement. To strengthen our sense of Asian American community, I have led fundraisers and earned sponsorships to help provide these free classes throughout New York City. The funds I raised even allowed me to provide free food at each class. Through these free self defense classes, I was able to strengthen and empower my community in a peaceful way after we’ve been threatened and attacked.
