I am passionate about nature, sustainability, and resource conservation. My primary focus moving forward will be about how we can use fewer resources . . . without sacrificing comfort or convenience . . . and why we need to be doing that. I will also still continue to post nature, gardening, and pollinator habitat videos. Christmas Painted Buntings . . . 2 days late!
มุมมอง 5016 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
I placed the holly cuttings with berries behind the feeder tray on Christmas eve. I have taken photos and videos of a number of different bird species since then, but this takes the cake. I'll post a collection video when I have time. of all of the birds that visited my Christmas decorated feeder.

Got the Christmas decorations up late this afternoon (Christmas Eve 2024), and it didn't take long for the first guests to arrive. Expect an encore with a greater variety of bird species tomorrow on Christmas day.

They are closely related, neither one known as a feeder bird, and the Gray Catbird can be quite elusive. And yet, here they both are posing perfectly together at a tray feeder (that also serves water).

Beautiful birds and beautiful background!
That hummingbird doesn't trust that Cardinal! I wonder what it knows!😅
😍
Such a lovely video! Thanks for showing me what I'm missing out on.
So cute! 🥰 I have never seen a Hummingbird harass a Carolina Wren before. Thanks for sharing two of some of my favorite birds. 🤗❤🐦
We have resident Mockingbirds, Catbirds, Brown Thrasher, and occasional Blue Jays, but our tiny hummingbirds own this Pollinator/Bird Habitat. I frequently see them chasing much larger song birds off of perches, and not just to a tree, but into the tree. Feisty critters for sure.
Excellent video, new friend here.
Glorious!
Greedy ass
Getting swallowed alive. That is gruesome
Then it went home and had some fava beans and a nice Chianti.
This takes sharing the food to the next level
Lizard on lizard crime
Either that or it's just providing a place for it to hide from predators. Lol

😮
Very nice photos!
It needs derpy cartoon sounds.
Hmmm, might add some audio.
It looks like a hair strand i pulled out of my beard
Why not put it in some shrubs? Idk much about caterpillars but it must be using a ton of energy to move around like that. Won't it die if it doesn't reach food in that small state?
Yes, but if you don't know the species, it's almost impossible to know where to put it. Caterpillars eat really specific plants for each species. It's better to put it on the ground and hope for the best for the little guy.
I Love these little guys. I once found one on my sock, and it was holding completely still pretending to be A Twig. I didn’t realize it was An Inch worm until I touched it and it moved. 🐛
Doing 100 ab crunches in one go 🔥
Cute❤
Yay! Finally!
Took a picture -• Hes so cute😊
Saw one of these irl 😂
He’s doing the caterpillar rave🔥
It’s soooooo tiny and looks so excited about its new life.🥹
crawling in my crawl
This is most likely a hatchling meaning this just hatched probably hours or minutes ago. Once they hatch, they eat ferociously and then they grow rapidly and turn into the size of a common caterpillar. It's quite amazing how small they start as and how big they grow. It's like the equivalent of a human baby becoming the size of a collosal titan as it grows up.
Who up makin they worm go 0:00
Living sploingy
Think it’s an inch worm
Took the name “inch” literally
I loved them as a kid and I still do ❤ such wonderful lil sticks
Not an inch worm. A millimeter worm.
Yes, I was trying to think of how to word that better when I first posted . . . " hopes to grow up to be an inchworm, but just a millimeter worm for now."
☝🤓 Actually, that's an inchworm.
Yes, that too.
It's a type of caterpillar actually
He's a little dude man. 🐛

It’s not a caterpillar. It’s an inchworm.

Your arm hairs are trees to that little guy ❤
silly radical.. That's not how the song goes at all. it's "an itsy bitsy spider" (Bugs are cool thx for posting this video)
Does, not keep pecking continuously. Got to make sure no one is around.
Red-bellied? From the Greenland-school of naming conventions...
Haha. They do have a blush of red(pink) on their bellies, but the main reason for the name is that they cannot be called red-headed, because the red-headed has an entirely red head.
