@@fernandocoronel6116 I didn't bleed them. To get it 100% empty the system would have to be evacuated by a shop. I emptied the oil from the old compressor and my new compressor came pre-filled with oil. There was a little more in the old compressor so I added the difference back into the new compressor. I changed my compressor yesterday. The only trouble I had was I didn't pull the collar up 4:11 high enough. I had my finger under it and it wouldn't budge. I then pulled the collar up higher and the hose came right off. Thanks again from Canada.

That area is super accessible once the intake pipes are out of the way. Did you end up doing this job?
Are you supposed to vacuum the ac lines? I need to do this but I read online that you need to be careful with the refrigerant inside the lines and you need to vacuum them? Is that true?

@@dy9amo91 we ended up taking the car to a nearby shop that installed the ac compressor we bought. the charged us $600 to replace and install the new one. we didnt want to to deal with the refrigerant...
@@katherinereyna2153holy ðĪĢ 600$ to replace an ac compressor is highway robbery ac compressor itself is 200-300$ and 300+ for labor is crazy when it only takes 1-2 hrs is you know what youâre doing. A shop wouldâve bled your lines for 50$ then all youâd have to do is replace it yourself and go back so they can refill it
