EP3 engine swap, the old engine seized. New engine comes from the later FN2 model which needs a few modifications to fit. Old engine code: K20A2 New engine code: K20Z4 The car already runs FN2 CW transmission with shorter final drive 5.05 vs the OEM 4.76 and a factory LSD. Skunk2 exhaust manifold 3" decat with catback The swap took 2 days. Enjoy

Very interesting. The k20z4 is a better motor than the k20a2. It cracks vtec 400rpms earlier and has the same rpm range and limit as the k20a2. The eg is also lighter and has a better body build when it comes to aerodynamics. Although the motors make the same power, I think the eg should have taken it.

The EG has much worse Final Drive and probably a worse map
K20Z with oem cat. That is problem…
The EG has the TSX transmission in it, which iirc, drops out of VTEC during every shift but that's with the K24a2 in it, I wouldn't know how it would behave at the higher RPMs of a K20.
Can't be stock K20z4 is more hp then k20a2

@@maerven I'm guessing with the k24 bottom end the comptech fn2 will have more torque too. I'd love another fn2 and drop a charger on it.

Oui Rotrex. C'est un compresseur centrifuge - en gros, un turbochargeur qui tourne à l'aide d'une poulie connectée au vilebrequin (donc la pression de l'air et la turbine du compresseur dépendent de la vitesse du vilebrequin) au lieu de tourner à l'aide de la pression des gaz d'échappement.

@@fredna8744 Ce n'est pas ma voiture, j'ai tout simplement déduit que sa voiture était équipée d'un Rotrex vu le fait que de nombreux kit sont disponibles. Je doute que ce soit le C38, vu que la réponse à bas régimes a l'air respectable. Tu as quoi comme auto ?
@@nvl2691 j'ai le rotrex C30-94 kit supersport avec échangeur et injecteurs 750cc et concernant le kit C38 la poulie fait beaucoup de bruit et cette voiture non. Et je pense qu'il y a des modifications vue le déplacement.
@@fredna8744 D'autres modifications c'est clair - au minimum échappement complet avec collecteur, peut être des arbres à cames améliorés même si le moteur semble d'origine aux bas régimes (merci au système VTEC!). Je suppose que ta voiture a réellement été transformée par l'ajout du compresseur ? Je pense m'en acheter une dans les mois à venir. Y a il des problèmes particuliers auxquels faire attention ?

I fitted a tegiwa catback and then a hks later. The hks transformed the sound! They compliment each other so well I wouldn't have it any other way now!

d16a6 is sohc 107hp... d16z5 in europe same as d16a8 or d16a9, also called zc in the states.. so the info is correct.
d-series is sohc. correct your info.
