David Tennant in Very British Problems
David Tennant appeared, along with other actors and comedians, in the second season of a tv show called Very British Problems. This is just the clips that David was in.
The topics were At Christmas, At School (although he just talks about alcohol and sex), At Friends (mainly about texting, including the British use of ending texts with a kiss "x"), and On Holiday.
It *does* kind of come across as him complaining for 6 minutes about a variety of things

Michael Sheen as Nye, asking for a date on his knees with a butt wiggle
มุมมอง 7694 หลายเดือนก่อน
Nye, played by Michael Sheen, is asking Jennie Lee, played by Sharon Small, his future wife, out for their first date. He asks something intrusive and then tries to get back on her good side by making a fool of himself. He kneels, talks about lowering his antlers, being submissive, and then wiggles his butt saying he’s trying to catch her eye.
Michael Sheen as Nye “Have you been means tested” scene from Nye the play
มุมมอง 8514 หลายเดือนก่อน
A scene that takes place in Parliament. Aneurin “Nye” Bevan, played by Michael Sheen, is speaking against austerity and advocating that the government should help people and not just large businesses. He asks all those present if they’ve ever been means tested- ever had to go through the indignities that struggling people have to to prove they need help, in order to get meager assistance, if any.

This is a reading of an original fanfic on ao3. You can search for it by the title or the author’s name
Why not McDonald? It's a much better last name than Tennant...
Because there was already a David McDonald in the actor's union and there can't be more than one at a time.
@@Grace-E-21 I've never heard of such an actor.🙂 I've heard of Kelly Macdonald. Thanks for the info, then at least it's not that he was ashamed of his Scottish surname :)
@@8lifeisamovie8 it's not about fame or how prolific the union member is-it's just about who received their union card first!
Loved the physical hteatre part in this. Did drama at GCSE and the second hand embarrassment was agonising. Love micheal sheen sm
o sh1t that was over too soon
love this man
I don't buy it. How could he be British and anxious and still make tea his way in front of a camera for all to see?
There's a segment on Graham Norton where he talks about emojis and how they mean different things. Could that be what you're remembering?
This could have done with some better editing.
I found you on TH-cam!! Recommended video!! XDDDD - marz
This is great! I had seen the clips from At Christmas before - never knew he was in other episodes, too. Thank you for posting!
Cannot abide him now…he’s a bell end 🙄
You appear to be talking to your reflection in the mirror.
100 %
1:08 he went as an Elf because ClarePope told him: “You’ll be ‘elf, I’ll be Safety!” (Series 4, Episode 1).
😂😂
I'll remember this the next time I think about wearing a soot.
“Practically sexting” oh David, you’re so innocent
DT. Is a Fool
If your definition of "fool" is a hugely rich, successful, talented, sought-after, charitable, down-to-earth, likeable, beloved, generous, humorous, happily-married, handsome, fit, sexy person, then yes, he's a fool.
@letolethe3344 still says foolish things. Notice you didn't use the word educated.
@@kevino4372 I'm sorry you feel the need to randomly post insults.
@@letolethe3344 ok
Why, because he supports his non binary child with love instead of stirring up hate and screaming "LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE"??? Trans kids have been murdered because they're trans. At least one was killed by their own classmates, because hate trickles down and rather than protecting kids, all you're doing is teaching cis kids it's okay to commit hate crimes. David's views, on the other hand, are yet to incite anyone to bash another person's skull in, so I think I'll take my chances with him.
This is so weird, I was looking up a video of the clips with DT of this tv show exactly today for no reason at all and realised only at the end that this video was posted only hours ago...
It was meant to be ☺😄
@@RainbowHyperfixation IT WAS
He has this incredible voice that you don't expect when you see him and his mannerisms. You expect something clear and tenor, and out comes this dark honey slighly raspy baritone. He could read a cook book to me in that voice and I would love it.
🤗👏👏👏👏👏
Have you got the whole thing or any more clips?
No, I don't but National theatre will be streaming it here on youtube for a short while in November. That was announced recently
I THOUGHT ME AND MY PARTNER CAME UP WITH THIS TERM
I call my dog bubbu. Wait… I didn’t see my dog at all today, and I am literally at home
These are great! Thank you! Please post more clips. Or please do you have a link to the whole performance?
It's being streamed for free from November 7.
I don't have any more, but National theatre will be streaming it here on youtube for a short while in November. That was announced recently
Finaly finding some clips of it. Do you have any more?
Well done
thank you so so much for this! I saw nye in the cinema and absolutely loved it and have searched everywhere hoping desperately to see it again :') If you have other scenes (especially the classroom one where he's trying to conquer his stammer, which broke me!) please share them if you can?
I believe it is now available on National Theatre at Home. Could be wishful thinking on my part but I think I noticed somewhere. I too saw it in a theatre.
I understand the National theatre will be streaming it free sometime in November 24.
@@heliotropezzz333 I read that too
Such a good video it so good and sweet
So cute 🐍😇❤️🔥
Thank you! 💖
What a great song to use. It works perfectly.
I’m glad you think so!💕 It’s one of my go-to karaoke songs 😅
baba means daddy in turkiye that's actually soo sweet ❤
So awesome that was what i called my cat she recently passed away i miss her terribly.
I am so sorry for your loss. My mom always says that all the pets that die wander over a ranbow bridge into heaven where they play with all the other pets. So your cat is probably running around with my dog up there, having the best time <3
Michael to Bark Ruffalo: Was the Scottish man mean to you!?
Australians use this term too! Bubba is an endearment for a small child. We also use it to just refer to kids sometimes, even when we're not actually talking to them. "Ah yeah, just put the bubba down for a nap."
entirely too adorable
Davis just being a dad is the best
hi! if anyone knows, could you tell what does it mean to say "baba"? Is it scottish/gaelic/irish?
It’s both Scottish and Irish, with different meanings in each language - in Irish, baba means “young lad” or “sweet baby”, while in Scottish, it’s the word for a type of syrup-cake, generally meaning “sweet”. It’s uncommon to appear in English, but does happen, as the word for “baby” alongside similar infant-type words, like mama and dada, which parents may mimic to their young.
@@beforesomeduring7330 many thanks!)
@@beforesomeduring7330sorry if this isnt entirely relevant, but some dialects of northern english have a similar 'babby' to mean infant or small child. maybe it has some linked roots! :]
and, though completely unrelated, "baba" in Hungarian means baby or doll. it's quite funny and nice to come across it in another language. 😊
@@FiliusPluviaenot unrelated at all, in fact the two words are directly related
I still wonder what David´s child said?
I THINK they said: “Is there/that a decoration there?” but I could be wrong. Either way, they sound unbelievably cute!
It’s Scottish, we’ll never know
*Incoherent Scottish Noises*
"Is there a decoration there?" I would guess this was around some type of holiday like christmas and they asked about said decorations.
Im scottish i'll help confirm, the kid said "is that a decoration there?" and david said "You what Baba?" and then the kid says " is there a decoration there?".
