An Air Gap or Air Break or Vacuum Breaker is installed onto a flush pipe of either a urinal or a pan and is used to allow air to get behind the water in the flush pipe so that it drains quickly. In Australia they are supposed to be installed by law to seperate fresh water from waste water. Here I show you what one looks like and how it gets installed onto the flush pipe for a urinal.

People have asked me if there is a concealed urinal sensor that can be installed inside a stud wall. Here is a video of how it can be done. It still needs to be accessed so you will need an access panel or hatch. This sensor does not like to be installed near anything made of metal so the door would need to be timber or wall board like Gyprok.
