35 Years of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay!
I don't even play the game, but have been waiting years for a Marienburg book! Can't wait to get my hands on it and see how it compares to sold down the river & Greame Davis' work!
Is there an ETA for a Foundry module for this book?
Hey there, we hope to have it available eventually, but we have no exact timeline as of yet!
Love hearing you talk about how much you love your books and how important the quality is, makes me even more excited to continue delving into the treasures of your products! 😊 I only have two so far, Soulbound starter (my first ever TTRPG experience) and Elector Counts. I am loving those so much and so impressed with them. I came here to watch some videos about some of your other Warhammer products to try to help decide which I want next. Let me say you guys are making it so hard to choose, you make everything look and sound so incredible! ❤🤬😂 Your excitement about your products is very infectious!
Thank you for the kind comment! We are so glad you are enjoying delving into Soulbound!
“So the enemy within manifests again, and history is doomed to repeat itself.” I watched this video last night, and then I read that page this morning 😂
Really enjoy this video. It makes me excited to play! Got excited also about the dice trays, but they are not available anymore? 😢
Hey! Thanks for the support! Unfortunately we won't be re-stocking the All Rolled Up dice trays.
aww so sad! I haven’t bought my first dice tray yet, and that was going to be it! That’s ok though, you guys have TONS of other amazing stuff to get excited about! 😊
I admit I smiled when I saw the news in my mailbox. Great idea. Will pick it up for sure!
We hope you'll like it!
Is this a hint at a Skaven Roleplay book for WHFRP? I would buy-get a collectoers edition so quick-fast.
We have no plans just now. However, Pádraig had so much fun doing this that he personally travelled to Skavenblight to petition the Council of Thirteen, but has not been seen since!
That voice acting was ridiculously solid. Cant imagine keeping that up but whew bravo.
Thank you so much! 😄
You guys are on fire ... still fingers crossed that you will give the old Rogue Trader RPG from FFG a worthy 2nd Ed. through Imperium Maledictum eventually. If that ever happens I'll raise an altar in your name! ;-)
Wow, Dom! Good to see your face, fella.
The amount of projects you guys have going on is insane. Love all the Warhammer stuff, just don't stretch yourselves too thin!
More Wrath & Glory please! Best 40K RPG system out there!
Any plans for an extended IM beastiary?
Well this sounds complicated
Thanks for keeping the community updated Dom. I wish C7 had some forums or a Discord so we could share amongst each other. Any updates coming for Broken Weave next year?
Thanks for your comment! No updates on this currently, but keep an eye on our newsletter and socials for any product updates and releases!
Soulbound stands
Just wanted to say that I am thankful for the work Cubicle is putting together. I am an avid Warhammer Fantasy Player, running 2 campaigns at the same time, and while I am impatiently waiting for anything Kislev to come out, I am very happy with each and every product that is coming out right now. One of the best move you could ever do, also, was to invest into Foundry. It makes the game roll so much easier, taking care of some harder to manage dynamics. Keep up the good work... one thing for sure is *Aragorn's voice* You have my wallet.
Thank you so much! We hope to keep bringing you new adventures and hopefully bring them to Foundry also!
@francispatenaude3587 i agree that foundry was life changing. Can't imagine gming otherwise.
The content you produce is awesome and innovative and pays a solid tribute to the systems you carry the torch for. However, my major bugbear is the time lag and the way you handle pre-orders. Fundamentally when you say ‘pre-order’ that telegraphs to me as ‘never-never’ because it’s usually around a year until the physical product is available. This is also often delayed - you mentioned at least one case in your video of this. Furthermore, speaking from experience, pre-ordering your products does not mean you get priority when the physical product finally does arrive - as with Imperium Maledictum priority was given to your internet sales taken after the physical product became available. This stinks of money grabbing ie we have the money from the pre-orders and now we want to grab the revenue from launch sales as well (rather than using the stock to fulfill the pre-orders). Which is very shady and highly unethical. Please sort this out, behaving this way is dishonest and as you said “we’re all friends here” if that’s the case treat us that way and you will have the loyalty of friends. I appreciate you are a small company and appreciate you keeping these games alive. Consumers have a lot of heart for small companies - like yours - just don’t do shady stuff and that loyalty will pay dividends far and above short term gains of selling pre-order stock to double your revenue take at launch.
Hi Simon, thanks for your feedback. It means a lot hearing that people really like what we’re doing, and it’s hugely important to me to make the best games I can. But it’s essential to hear what we’re not doing well too, so thanks for taking the time to do that. I talk with the team about the points you raised frequently, especially the time from pre-order to physical books arriving with customers. Reducing that gap is something we are all working on right now, and it seems to have decreased to around 6-7 months recently, but I want it to reduce further. With the print and shipping process there’s a hard limit of 5 months if things go smoothly, so the option for further improvement is to delay giving people the PDF until the books are printed and about to hit the warehouse. My instinct is that everyone would prefer to get the PDF as soon as possible, but a shorter pre-order window would be preferable, so I’m trying to chart the best course at the moment. I don’t want to use the PDF launch as proofreading (still wincing from earlier comments), but the feedback on rules content is useful before we hit the print button, as internal playtests aren’t as broad as when everyone starts putting it to the test. The proofreading issue is separate, and is something I am urgently re-evaluating at the moment too, it is something we put a lot of effort into, and I feel sick every time I see a mistake out in the wild. Finding where the mistakes are creeping in is a personal mission! As for pre-order customers receiving books after others, that just shouldn’t happen, and we plan our fulfilment to make sure it doesn’t. Things go wrong every so often, and we can’t always arrange that across different parts of the world at the same time, but the standing process is set up to get pre-orders out first. I’m really sorry that didn’t happen with your Imperium Maledictum order, and it certainly wasn’t intentional. That was a bit long, but I hope it at least shows what’s happening during the time between pre-order and book delivery. It’s fundamentally important to me as a gamer that our games delight people, and hate that any part of the process might detract from that. I’m certainly not trying to do anything shady, and would rather delay PDF releases than give that impression, but I know people like getting those as early as possible and don’t want to disappoint them either! Thanks again for your kind words about our games, and for expressing your frustrations, and assure you that I will always be trying to improve what we do and how we do it. Dom
@ Yes that was long, but that tells me you care and took the trouble to explain the situation and make me feel heard. Consequently I can do nothing other than give you my respect as it is well deserved. And your message was worth the time it took to reply as it has gone a long way in restoring my faith, in fact increasing. I’ve worked in the service industry for over 30 years and there’s an expression “it’s not whether things go wrong it’s how you handle it that makes a company you can trust.” You handled this respectfully and with courtesy (although I wouldn’t blame you if your first reaction was an expletive 😉). Thank you for explaining - I understand the world of design and print very well especially when producing large quantities of large case bound books like yours so what you are saying in terms of lead times rings true (that’s more for the benefit of other people reading this to know your not making it up). Safe to say I will return to pre-ordering books again from you and weather the lengthy lead times now that I understand as soon as your artwork is finalised you make it available for customers. If you need help proofreading and play testing your material I would be happy to volunteer to help. As a suggestion it would be great if you had a feedback mechanism for your pre-order PDFs. I know once you’ve been proofreading a piece of artwork for a long time you get word blind so fresh eyes always help - and a 000’s of fresh eyes is even more helpful. Let me know if I can help. Now I’m off to buy a … PDF about dwarves in WFRP.
I cross my fingers for AoS Champions of Chaos !
More details about The Old World game? Is it going to be to WFRP what Wrath & Glory is to Imperium Maledictum?
The Old World is a different system tailored to the setting. We'll have more updates on this soon, along with some gameplay examples, but you can expect a more accessible system that retains the unforgiving brutality that distinctive to the Warhammer World!
@@Cubicle7Entertainment Thank you!! :)
Oh High Elves 🥳
For WFRPG, it will be great to have others regions :Kislev, Cathay, Nippon, Badlands, Arabay... so much to develop....
Definitely!! But there are still some ground to cover within The Empire. Would love books on some of the other cities/provinces that haven't yet been covered in detail.
Loving these update videos. What a crazy amount of work for a 30-person team!
Thank you for the support!
I'm very excited about Old World! I wonder if it will be a rules-lite version of WFRP, like what ShadowDark is to D&D 5E...
Will soulbound translated in German?
Seelengebunden - you're welcome 😉
We are hoping to get a translation, but we do not have a timeline as of yet
Soulbound ist ein Opfer ihres schlechten Projektmanagements.
Not too excited about splat books for WFRP. That’s usually where RPG’s go when they’re out of ideas. How about rereleasing Castle Drachenfels?
I am excited about any WFRP book - but a redo of Castle Drachenfels would be spectacular!!! Perhaps with some added connections to Ubersreik.
The Champions of Chaos hype lives on.
Did the new reprint for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay include the errata?
Hey! It has been edited for small errors, but no major changes were made to the reprint.
When will Victoriana pdfs be on Drivethru?
My understanding is they expect the PDF of the core rulebook to go out to backers before xmas, so January on DTRPG seems reasonable
So nothing in the pipeline for Wrath and Glory? Is the game line in trouble?
nope, they also just released Pilgrims of the waste, im sure they have something else they are working on.
From what they said a few months ago at UKGE it sounded like they have quite a lot planned for W&G, my guess is it's just slipped in the schedule due to them having a lot to deliver this quarter & next (the 2 Kickstarters, their D&D stuff, TOW (which I might suspect GW are keeping a very close eye on), trying to build momentum for IM, etc) My notes from UKGE were -- "Moving beyond Gilead to include more of Imperium Sanctus ... Different styles & modes of play -- more tactical, perhaps mission planning followed by the mission itself ... Space hulks, Blackstone Fortress, a campaign in Sanctus" -- that's potentially a *lot* of W&G content, just not particularly soon
We have a new adventure coming out which will be announced soon, it is Wrath and Glory with a bit of a twist!
Are the two 40k ganes very different mechanically? Or can an adventure from one be used easily in the other ?
Imperium Maledictum feels like a spiritual successor of sorts to Dark Imperium or Rogue Trader, with very similar set of stats and d100 system. By contrast, Wrath & Glory is a unique d6 (edit: d10!) system with very different stat blocks. You'd have to be familiar enough with both systems to recycle the enemies. Granted, it's possible to port maps, NPC names/personalities, and plot outlines between any two TTRPGs; I've done it before when I needed a quick drop-in dungeon and didn't have time to prep.
They are different mechanically using a D10 dice pool. But we hope to have a system in place for conversion!
@Cubicle7Entertainment that would be very handy. Personally, I'm gm on wh fantasy roleplay. I'd like to go with a similar system if possible. Not 3... here's hoping the old world will be in a similar system. Anyway, thank you for your work and your reply
I am interested to hear more about Warhammer the old world and how it's relates to WFRG
The Old World is set 250 years before Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and is a different system tailored to the setting. We'll have more updates on this soon!
We just want a physical copy of vow of absolution.
whats the difference between Warhammer: The Old World, and Warhammer FRPG? Era it is set in?
As I understand it, The Old World will be set in the same era as the tabletop wargame. So about 250 years prior to WFRP. And be a bit lighter on the rules. Perhaps more focuessed on combat/action, but I'm just guessing.
The Old World is set in a different era 250 years before Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay!
@@Cubicle7Entertainment Sure, but that could have just been splatbook for WFRP. There must be more to it than that? We're so curious! Tell us more 😅
Great news! Thanks a lot! About The Old World tog, can you confirm it will be compatible with wfrp 4th?
When they announced The Old Workd, they advised it would be a different engine, not WFRP4.
It is a different system than WFRP. We plan on providing advice for converting content from WFRP to the Old World!
Good to hear that the AoS Champions of Chaos is not forgotten
Any new Erratas coming for the Dwarf book ?
Hopefully applied to the printing proof before it goes through the presses…
Yes we will have new errata coming very soon
Does the Physical Vow of Absolutio book get sent to those that preorder at the same time as it hits the stores? Or do we get it a little early? Since it was surpossed to be out Q4 2024.
Pre-order customers will receive priority and will get the book a little earlier!
Your proofreading is nowhere near where it needs to be. It feels like I'm paying to do the job for you, but even then half of the errata & correction submissions we put in don't seem to get fixed.
I found really bad mistakes on the AoS Ulfenkarn book. :(
But in an amusing side note, in one of my games we had a “Gromil” salesman trying to sell us knock off Gromril. Based on the typo in the index of the Dwarf Player Guide. Which was hilarious.
This is something we take very seriously, and thank you for your feedback it is always appreciated . We all feel really sick when errors go out and it is an area we have been focusing on to improve recently.
@@Cubicle7Entertainment the map for greenskin locations in Tribes and Tribulations, has Karaz-A-Karak labelled as “Karak-A-Karak” so there is a lot of room for improvement on your attention to detail. Is the open submission on error feedback still open on your web site? Does anyone look at or check this? Most customers don’t have time for cover to cover checks on all PDF pre-orders, but on occasions where feedback is being supplied it would be nice to receive some form of confirmation this is being acted on to ensure corrections will be made before books go to print. There is no such courtesy being shown to buyers or much evidence to demonstrate anyone has even taken the critique seriously. Your books look lovely, so it feels like these continuous mistakes concern the customers a whole lot more than they do the publishers. Otherwise why does it keep happening time after time.
Is the Aeldari book the latest PDF version or one that had some of the errors corrected, Star Glaive (Melee weapon has the Assault Trait and maybe others, possibly copied from the Singing Spear above it), Soul Weaver/Way Seeker Archetype lacks it's Corsair Armor, unclear if the d6 recovered Spirit Stones are of the inhabited or empty variety for example (I reported those via the homepage/mail). Any estimate when those could be answered/fixed? Thank You!
Hi there! We're checking these and will ensure any errata are updated and marked in the PDF. You should discuss with your GM if the Spirit Stones are inhabited - we'd suggest that at least some are, as the spirits are either those of valued advisors or are the spirit stones of deceased Aeldari recovered from the battlefield!
@Cubicle7Entertainment thank you for the response, love the setting and books.
@@N7Stryker So the d6 recovered Spirit Stones for Soul Weaver/Wayskeer in IoE, the archetype seem to imply that they're inhabited, as they are something the archetype can interact with and learn knowledge or absorb abilities. Entry doesn't have the Corsair Armour listed, all the other corsair archetypes do. We can remove the Assault trait from the Star Glaive as it's a melee weapon so the trait doesn't apply.
Guys, I love your work but please, please, please, do better proofreading. I've read Reikland Miscellanea and Ubersreik Adventures III back to back and there are glaring omissions and mistakes in both. Missing paragraphs or even whole sections it seems. I don't mind about typos but those are unacceptable, especially from something like Reikland Miscellanea which is just a compilation of previous releases. Worst is that I buy from my FLGS and I can't get the pdfs, so I'm stuck with the copies as printed.
Agreed
As a WFRP player you've missed their most recent proofreading achievement -- the latest Imperium Maledictum supplement, Diagnostica Obscurus, had it's own title spelled incorrectly both in the C7 webstore and on it's own front cover! A different mis-spelling in each case!
Agreed, proofreading really needs work... Real shame as otherwise love the releases!
@@CallumFinlayson incredible stuff. I have the IM Core and Screen but haven't cracked them open yet. I also have Tribes and Tribulations on the shelf and I'm dreading what I'll find there. Again, typos I'm kinda ok with. Can't catch them all. But Reikland Miscellanea has a whole paragraf missing and that book was a compilation of smaller pdfs they released in the past. Mutiny and the Beasts in UAIII, suddenly begins making references to NPC surviving a Goblin Attack that's not described anywhere, just vaguely alluded to. Worst part is that the Goblin Attack is the eponymous mutiny from the title... Just unbelievable.
Oof, that's painful to read! This is something we take very seriously, and is an area we have been focusing on recently. We all feel really sick when errors go out but Dom works to ensure we catch as many errors as we can as quickly as possible! Thank you for your feedback it is always appreciated and we are sorry for the frustrations.
Hope to hear more big stuff for wng next year, im is cooking full steam st least
I worry you guys are over burdening yourselves. As a DM/GM I'm loving all the books coming out. My wallet, no so much. But, right now, it is a fantastic time to be alive. If only this all happened right before Covid. <3 I'm excited and I sure hope Cubical 7 is doing good, business wise.
My guess would be that once the Kickstarters for Laundry & Victoriana are delivered those two lines will go on the back-burner to some extent, which will free up their capacity. Interesting that it sounds like TOW is launching with a lot of support (PG, GMG, SS, etc), hopefully get a better release tempo with that compared to IM
Thanks for the comment, we're really glad you are enjoying our books! We have recently been expanding our team and bandwidth is something we are keeping an eye on, of course! We are starting to reap the benefits now, and still improving by the year!
For Warhammer or D&D
Love to see you GM WHFRP with this group through a long campaign
Good stuff Padraig, balbriggan man myself. Do you ever be looking for writers for Warhammer fantasy roleplay games. Currently looking for a Job
Hi, you can visit the Jobs page on our site if you wish to apply as a freelancer!
@@Cubicle7Entertainment Thank you
What RPG are they pulling from? WFRV?
This was a roleplay piece written by our very own Padráig Murphy specifically for this collaboration with Fatshark for the Warhammer Vermintide 2 Versus Release Stream!
@@Cubicle7Entertainment ah thanks for clarifying :)
My dwarf players are soooo excited for me to pick up a copy. A few party members have some grudges to settle
Hey! You can pre-order now at - cubicle7games.com/warhammer-fantasy-roleplay-dwarf-player-s-guide
Or make your character a plague marine but flavor him as this really beefy hard to kill devastator for your party thats been blessed by the Emperor.
Wrath & Glory is still not V12 compliant.
