2021 Benelli Leoncino 500 Trail front fender from REMMOTOTORCYCLE. Rear tail tidy was just a old plate holder from another project that I can't remember.. The Templar 250 x has a 30 mm Nibbi carb, stiffer rear spring fro KKE racing and a 7t smaller rear sprocket. Both bikes are amazingly fun to ride.

Just a quick video of the xpro Templar 250x which was delivered to my apt fully assembled and shrink wrapped on a skid for $2350. Not bad.

What’s the trick to getting these plated? Do you have to ask for mca to say motorcycle or does it automatically come able to be titled and plated?
No trick sir. Just ask them for a MCO that says "motorcycle ". The mco you get at first says "off road".. or something else. Hope this helps.

@Chrisro0619 It's got a pretty high seat.. but a really soft rear shock spring. You might be tippy toeing for a while.. till it beds in.

I have the same bike. I have put a 38 tooth rear sprocket from eBay look under Honda CRF 250cc dirt bike
It's a shame that Amazon doesn't sell them on their UK site 😢 as I would have one .
Custom sprocket isn't needed. I use JT Sprockets JTF270.14 on the front and JTR210.42 on the rear, and I do recommend it! The front sprocket is a very tight fit leaving no clearance.

I have.. I'm waiting for a stiffer spring from Max pro. Should be coming this week. The 30mm nibbi is already on it. It pulls like my old DR350 now. Very happy.😉
I have the nibbi carb too... But the choke knob is a bitch to get to..

I believe the company is called " KE".. it's the stock spring for the xpro Templar 250.
I had a Nibbi PE30 but swapped it out for a PWK28 and it runs better. PE30 was back and forth between too lean and too rich. PWK28 is probably a touch rich down low, but the power jet helps throttle response and pulls just as hard as the 30mm.
I'm a 68 yo rider and I'm thinking about getting one. My last dual sport bike was a xr650l about 6 years ago. I'm almost ready to retire and intend to do a lot of riding. I'm in NC by the way.
I actually had a 2023 xr 650l too. It was too tall for me and too heavy to lift after falling off several times. This bike is a pure joy. The spring is a concern. I too have to find alternatives. I'm currently 240 lbs. And have the spring compressed pretty far and it does ok for now. I'll keep posting results soon. Thanks for watching.
I put on a stiffer shock spring.. and fixed the problem. The bike is great now.

I heard you say Charlotte, I assume NC? How was registering your bike with the DMV?
It's easy at the DMV. I had a gut feeling this would be a problem, so I asked xpro to resend me an Amended MSO saying "motorcycle" instead of "off road motorcycle".

Yes . They are Shinko 700 series dual sport tire combo from Motorsports.com. $156 for both. And they're a 60/40 street dirt ratio tire. I run about 25 psi.

I got Supermoto tires coming what sprockets & chain recommend? I bought this bike to experiment with dirtbikes because I own a chopper & Harley. Wanted to play with something & tinker around with out caring much about it; however I do want to learn as much as possible before spending large amounts of money on a Ducati supermoto. I don’t even know if it’s for me or not. So far love going off road & has me curious what it’ll be like on road just playing around with it. Thanks for helping in advance for a new dirtbike owner 😅

I installed a nibbi carburetor on my xpro made a world of difference in the bike
Cant wait to see it with the street tires. Im new to this and thinking about this for my first bike and want to go the same route. My only concern is that i weigh 270 so I'm worried about bottoming out that rear shock. Is it possible to change to a higher rated spring without changing the entire shock?
The Templar X is the amazing deal of the cheap ChinaBike dual sport community. Those Z6 motors are bulletproof, 19-20 HP stock, and 6 gears. Once you work the "kinks" out (carb tuned, locktited bolts, etc) you can can't beat it for the price.

@@rikkiroxx1430yep, one of the most famous and reliable brands of Chinabikes, the GPX FSE250 uses this exact same engine. Those guys ride that bike hard for enduro races and dual sporting for thousands of miles and have reported virtually zero issues. They are bulletproof!

I bought it on Amazon. And I'm planning on getting a nibbi carb and smaller rear sprocket. Eventually, a stuffer rear spring. I'll keep you posted.
Gonna subscribe to see updates. Gearing looks similar to my XR250, one thing I read said a 14/44 sprocket ratio gave a better top end but still had some low end grunt. Might be a good place to start
@ethansmith4392 Thanks.. I'm planning on a 41t. From stock 49t. It currently runs @7000rpm at 60 mph. My calculations should bring the rpms down to about 6000rpm. At the same speed, While only at 2/3 throttle.
I'm about to pull the trigger on one but just wondering if the wheel hubs are cast or billet aluminum? They seem to shiny for cast but in the assembly video they're clearly cast. What say you?
I'm not sure teeztoys.. but because of the price point this bike exhibits, it's probably cast.
It was actually about 8 lbs. savings. Delkevic says 4 lbs for their system but I don't think they included the mid pipes weight. Idk..
