Hey hello! I'm the owner of The Lost Co, and this is my personal channel. That channel will always focus on mountain bike content, but this channel will mainly consist of me screwing around with cars and the occasional business video.

Introducing My New Hellhorse Twin Turbo 5.0 Mustang
I just started this new channel, so I needed a new car project! I've been wanting to get back into drag racing, so I sold my Corvette and got something better suited for the 1/4 mile. So I picked up this s550 Mustang with a Hellhorse Performance twin turbo kit that makes 800+ horsepower at the wheels which we'll be getting ready for next Summer's race season. I'll be using this car in some roll race events and also doing some good ol' fashioned stick shift 1/4 mile drag racing.

BTR Stage 3 PDS Cam Sound

While building my 2005 C6 Corvette, Brian Tooley Racing recommended me their BTR Stage 3 PDS Cam for calm idle, calm driving manners, and nice sound while still making a good chunk of extra power with my Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger. This was my first time roll racing in my C6 Corvette at an event in Bremerton, WA on July 4th, 2022. The event was a very raw experience, and was basically like legal street racing. The surface was far from perfect, and at the end of the 1/3 mile mark you'd be going 160mph and then hit a bunch of lumps in the left lane which felt super sketchy. Right lane all day! Nice car, sounds good. I have an '05 also. Jackshaft Magnuson with BTR PDS Stage 2 cam, Katech ported 243 heads. 685/660 last time on dyno(93 octane and Alky Injection), should be another 50-70rwhp in the spring as I'm currently having the blower ported, adding a 1/2" tub spacer and I installed a FI Interchiller.
Don’t do the calimer trans. Had i the stage 3 in my 1000+ HP build and it was just all around a bad experience. Go the t56 or turbo 400 route you’ll have a better experience, will cost a little more upfront but it will be worth it.

Any turbo mount that is mounted that low is stupid on every level. Good way to hydro lock the engine, not to mention you would have to constantly change the filters. A drag car is one thing, a daily or any car you would drive on the street is another.

Note the air filters are right next to the exhaust so lots of nice cool air going into the engine
Where are those intakes gonna go? That is standard practice have you seen turbod cars? If anything it’s better than a lot on top of the engine since the air under the car is getting it nice and actually very cool.
While driving there’s cool air moving past that area. If it were doing dyno runs without a fan. Yes but not while moving.
The heat under the car is mainly contained to the parts because as M54 stated, the cool air, the heat in the engine bay is thru out the whole engine bay. Even if the filters were getting cooler air as you think being routed somewhere else, the piping that’s routed would pick up that heat anyways.
Its going to be fed through an intercooler

Are they oiless turbos?
You have to install a scavenge pump
@@Josh-th8by those do appear to be oilless turbos, as there is no drain or feed coming from the turbos. They use grease for lubrication
@@Blueraspberryguy I can admit when I’m wrong, but most bottom mount turbos have to use a scavenge pump. Hellion states they have “industry leading” oiling with no need to tap the pan but I have seen hellion bottom mount with scavenge systems.

How’s the lag on those. I also wonder with the 350/70z rear mounted turbos.
Boost builds around 3,000 rpm and seriously hits HARD around 3,500 rpm. I've never felt a turbo setup that goes from "here it comes" to "holy balls" haha
It may help you get more views and try uploading as much as possible

Before this gets filled up with people saying it’d suck water so close to the ground, the owner probably isn’t driving this in wet conditions anyway. With that much power I really doubt they’re going to be dailying it either, so it’s not really that much of an issue
Yep! Not my daily, and the pro's far outweigh the con's for me. I basically never drive this car when it's raining out, so it's just not an issue for me. Either way, people usually have no issues driving with these if it's wet out as long as they are avoiding deep, standing water.
It’ll work good until it doesn’t. It’s cool if people like them mounted like that but it’s not for me. Nobody plans on hitting a tire gator on the interstate but it happens. That’s just a lot of money to ride about 6 inches from 80 mph pavement. I noticed somewhere he mentioned it bring lower center of gravity and I honestly don’t know how that would make any difference on this car, but I’m not a car builder.
Let's put it next to the ground so it can suck water and god knows what else. 🤦🏻♂️
