Man honestly the Marsh is pretty productive year round just depends on tide, wind and bait that will tell you where in the marsh they will be

Yes sir Nueces bay and thank you I appreciate that it was only my second outing with the fly rod so I’m stilling getting used to it but its starting to feel a lot more comfortable

@@marshmadnesstv361 I live up in Austin - I wish when I was there the wind would be like you had it ... haha. .. in a Kayak it seems like a long paddle to get into the back lakes for Nueces no? Love to fish sometime and fly fish together!

Thank you Preciate that! I love it man I’ve had mine for almost 3 years now and the only time you really get wet is if there’s chop other then that it’s a pretty dry ride but your gear does get wet being so low to the water and traveling at a decent speed

Do you think they bite a fly better than our traditional lures? When do you think fly fishing out produces regular lures? Thank you

@@TexasSlamFishing I would say on high pressure days when the fish are more skiddish the fly will produce better or in extremely shallow water where the reds backs are out of the water a traditional lure tends to scare them sometimes where as a fly has a softer landing

Good point I've been buying smaller baits like the tiny crabs and shrimp lures when I see them way back in the marsh but you can't throw typical lures because it will spook them. I'll be trying a fly soon
