iPhone 16 pro max now has USB-C port. So I don’t need another accessory to plug it in?

Is it compatible with gopro? Or DJI OSMO action4 camera?

What a surprise seeing this a year or so after it posted! Those helicopters were something and I remember that wind. Nevertheless it was a great day, The previous year, it rained right before my set began. We weren't set up on porches. We were in tents where people crowded under for a wet and intimate performance. It magically stopped when I sang False Fly (second song in this video) and everyone started dancing around the tent. Porch Stomp is one of the most gorgeous days in the city. wow.. these things sound much more natural then my roland binaural headphones.. would love to possibly partner up and give these things a run for our videos as we are getting it going as of last week and have been filming a ton so its time to post them up! would would be highly interested in the xlr version to use with my zoom f3! will be doing alot of walking videos as we have been filming alot of them lately, but would be great to stand behind the camera and record from a pov sound perspective! look forward to talking with you guys!

Is it required to place the mics on your ears or can the microphones be mounted on my iPhone as left and right capture? Does it impact the recording quality if not on my ears?

For my taste ( I play principal horn with the Gran Canaria Philharmonic in Spain and play in the acoustically perfect Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas ) Carnegie Hall still is number 1 ( warmth of sound ) the new David Geffen Hall is very close but for me number 2 , Avery Fisher Hall is the lesser noble of the three, so number 3

Geffen hall is warm with a good bass response and a warm sound. Avery is shrill and hard sounding. Carnegie is good, but I’d say Geffen is best hands down.

The idea of using this as a video call mic seems really weird to me. The mic doesn't block out anything, so you better be in a completely quiet room.

I have a wireless mic such as the DJI Mic/Rode Wireless Go II, can this be plugged into it as a lav mic?

I went to Carnegie Hall after its 1986 renovation and was not impressed with the new acoustics. Have not been back since. I like the Geffen Hall sound best of the 3.

I was wondering why the audio levels are different in both microphone? I had the same issue with my Sennheiser which ended up in visual and audio not marching the direction where it is coming from.

how it perform under windy day?

Is it avaible in the eu? I bought sennheiser ambeo for 38 eur, the usecase can be similar.

ya it sounds spacial, but I don't hear any significant stereo part that makes it sound amazing like some others on the market, esp. for $150. Also, for some reason, every recording I hear of these require me to turn my volume almost all the way up. So, I believe they don't record loudly enough/not sensitive enough.

I understand that Carnegie Hall’s legendary acoustics were compromised when that hall was renovated some years ago. The bass from Geffen Hall sounds artificially exaggerated but overall is clearer.

Can you do one between just David Geffen and Carnegie? I definitely hear the improvement from Avery Fisher but it definitely appears to still miss the warmth of Carnegie.

Nice measurements ! Could You post pictures from each hall, showing orchestra layout and seating capacity during Your recordings ? Have You got recordings from other locations, in each hall ? Are the audio tracks not allerted by TH-cam compression in any way ? Or maybe You can share .wav recordings ? Cheers !

Something about Carnegie seems to have an extra touch. But it's hard to be objective without a full side-by-side comparison. The renovated Geffen is now visually a more welcoming space. Certain reviews, however, have judged its sound to be dry, but your recordings make me unsure about how much of a shortcoming that is or isn't. For me, I think that Carnegie is still very good, but could be too boomy depending on the piece. I think that Avery has clarity, but not as warm as the other. I think Geffen sounds a lot like the Elbphilharmonie and its a good medium

Even with TH-cam compression, I'd rate them Geffen first, Fisher second, and Carnegie third. Both Geffen and Fisher seem to have a wider and deeper soundstage compared to Carnegie.

Now, this is a great idea! I'm on my way out, but I've added it to my watch list.

Question: if I watch a video recorded with that sp microphone in a surround sound system with 5.1 support, will it work? Or just work with headphones??

i will buy. I am so curious. Keep it up guys. I was going to a very known roland binaural earphones but i needed a recorder too (H1N or 2) with it... And as i dont love those little thing into my ears, i wasn't sure. Then i have found yours and your stuff seems very good. Just hope that it will work on a google pixel 6, i don't know if the basic recorder from the phone is stereo or not but i think it is as i have the stereo audio system for listening. We'll see

I picked up a pair of the XLR version, curious what deadcat or wind suppression will fit around each mic?

Any cheap microphone which does this? Or can I use two mics at once to gain this?
