The dragon emperor reminds me of Malleus from Twisted Wonderland. And the isolation he had to live with, but also the social interaction he barely makes. Due to his overwhelming frighteningly power. So, this makes me think of Yuu and Malleus in a strange way. And how Yuu would say the same things the damsel is saying to him how she’ll do whatever she can to make him happy.
