KKK’s Origins, Downfall & Misconceived History | Klan War by Fergus M. Bordewich
Join us as we delve into history with author and historian Fergus Bordewich as we discuss his book, “Klan War: Ulysses S. Grant and the Battle to Save Reconstruction”.
In this video, Bordewich discusses the period of reconstruction from 1865 to 1876, a time where largely progressive moments for the time pushed for fairness and equality. Unfortunately, a large push for a slave economy to prevail and for reconstruction to fail ultimately came true. However, many educated Americans were taught that reconstruction failed largely without interference and with radicalized leaders, both from black and white races. However, Bordewich’s book hopes to tackle that misconception, and focus on the truth of the matter- that reconstruction failed due to pushback by a population still attached to confederate beliefs.
A prime example of this misconception is the idea that Ulysses S. Grant was a drunkard. That point taught to many Americans throughout history is indeed a myth spread by the southern confederates to tarnish his image and validity.
Bordewich also speaks about the language of the time, and that people had used the word “terrorist” to describe the KKK back in the 1800’s, and why certain terms may be more offensive back in the day than they are today. He also covers the surprising origins of the group, which originated as a fraternity group that was a guitar and fiddle group. However, the group of primarily white men also found “entertainment” in scaring black people, and eventually evolved into the infamous white supremacist group known in history today. @fpclassroom

Where was the motor and gastank for the return trip of the capsule for 150.000 miles? 🫵😂
Ai will take your job!
I work making parachutes. They deff take it very seriously. One part gets inspected by many people. You get special ruler that they come and check a few times on your shift to make sure your 1” is 1”.
But never for NASA......
KKK democrats Was 5 de mayo Tv was black and white
What about the knights of the Golden Circle?
This is our government for you. Don't train 100 other people to do the same job, thereby removing the likely hood that all of them would die in a car accident together. The first rule in government. "Find the stupidest people and put them in charge."
Braindead take. Stop huffing glue.
So you want 103 people paid to do a job that only takes 3 people. Which sounds more like the government?
I attended, "Virgil I Grissom " elementary school in 1969 at Clark AFB, Philippines, I also played little league baseball, one of my teammates, last name was Grissom, Virgil was his Uncle, if I remember, lol
Thank you for sharing this information ❤🙏
Absolute BS. The Democrat party is still the party of racism. They are still pushing for slavery of the lower classes, except this time our slave masters will be the federal government. What this gentleman does not seem to understand is that if the Constitution does not specifically grant authority or power over a specified subject area to the federal government, then that power belongs to the states and the people in accordance with the Constitution.
MY PRESIDENT DONALD J TRUMP
Welcome home, hero.
My ASUS P2B-DS mobo, from 1998, also had USB ports. They didn't work properly though. It's also interesting that Apple was among the first to use USB, as they also were one of the main proponents and users of IEEE1394, or FireWire as it was called, which was in direct competition with USB for storage, scanners etc.
It's amazing to think that fabric is enough to keep the empty vacuum of space from getting you.
Looks like he had the alcoholic boldness nose
There is a boiling hatred for this family and this man for what they have done to our potential and our future. This woman has chosen to placate and conciliate the side of the immoral and unethical for use of power and control... I hope that for that decision alone no one will bother with her content and rebuke her view of history. These are not great men... they were monsters, scornful and unjust, and went extreme lengths to do terrible and violent things to our world and all it's potential for providence. The living heirs to this crude and cruel bloodline do NOTHING to evoke growth, but rather, marry in to some of the most vile and ritualistic heretics (who and what mettle in child sacrifice and blood libel) of black nobility and putrid rot of "high" "society."
Its like that onion episode where the scientist studied ant eaters for 20 years and hates his life.
One of my favorites from the Onion.

I was born on January 20, 1953 just a few hours before Ike was inaugurated. 😊
And?
Then he put “under god”!in the pledge of complience and Down into the shitter flushed the constitution as now the country went into fantasy land
Wasn’t his Momma a Russellite and a Bible Student?
One of the last of the great Republicans
He is rolling in his grave!!!
I wonder how many women died of fire from cooking wearing long skirts.
Some got burned and some drowned fetching water or washing clothes in the river because of those skirts...
I know a thing or two about a dutch oven. The secret ingredient is shart
And don't forget the surprise factor
Thank you for the informative video.
My gran used to make cakes with a Dutch oven when we went camping. Good memories.
If you sleep with me, dutch oven will have a whole new meaning.
Think about it, farting under a blanket: makes what it's called a dutch oven.
Similar method is used in india
Yo thats so cool :D, Thank you.

Margaret O'Brien still isn't the only living cast member. June Lockhart is 99.
Bobby Rush they deserve each other. Some sang Ain't no sunshine when she gone. I sang ain't no sunshine when she here. Lol
Why would death camps issue their own money and give it to prisoners to be used at their internal stores?
So tell your friends to stop ignoring it and trying to change it
The very Western edge of modern NC was also in the state of Franklin. The Eastern continental divide was the border.
Wow! Incredible. I'd bet that everything, in your eyes, is a blessing.
Frickin pathetic that there are people who think this did not occur. Would like to see time travel and have them go to the camps they say don't exist. The other recreation they had, was forced labor.
It's occurring now in Palestine and people still don't believe it.
they had swimming pools, movie theaters and much more. You think it happened because a movie told you so.
Who creates the movies that is teaching you this? The same ones claiming that it is true. The concentration camps were horrible especially after German logistics broke down but the gassing didn't happen.
@@mohammedbinladen4619don't talk crap

The civil rights act passed with a majority Republican vote. Democrats opposed and filibustered civil rights holding the record of 72 hours.
