That's amazing. Reminds me of V8 Chevy Vega's back in the 70's. A 5 gallon motor in a 1 gallon frame. Wow, I'm a super fan. Amazing work. Great engineering.

Great Build! Do you have any limitations regarding the lean angle since you lowered the front?
Hi, thank you - the bike was was not lowered it remains the same ride height as the stock bike, i put fork restictions/bumpstops in place to stop the front wheel making contact with the turbo if there was an exteme circumstance and increased the spring rate with custom made fork springs, the bike has 220mm of usable travel and i’ve not yet bottomed out. What was the overall weight of the bike and it’s bhp per tonne bet it is nearly on a par with a gp bike
Hi, stock bike is 147kg, the gixxer 1000 engine is 20kg heavier than the 701 plus the turbo, then theres the removal of the full stock exhaust system so i’d say the bike is around 168kg 👍 around 1400 wheel horse power per tonne

Sure the frame (which is prone to cracking even with the stock engine) will take that kind of performance...
Hi, I’m not sure about 701 frames been prone to cracking, i guess it’s likely if they are heavily offroaded.. This frame has been extensively braced and modified to accomodate the motor which in reality is only 20kg heavier which in most cases is no more than the difference in some rider body weights, also the bike is so insane that it’s impossible to put all the power down and you often ride the back wheel so stressing the frame due to torque doesn’t concern me. thats BS, what you are talking about is the EXC frame...never heard from 701/690 with a cracked frame...

Good power, but how does the handling compare to the basic 701 engine? I would assume the width and moving mass would make it very different handling wise
Hi, to be perfectly honest there is about 20kg difference in engine weights which is less than some peoples differences in body weigh. there is little difference in the handling so far 👍
