I thought it was well known that Slash didn’t want JT because he came with Keith Nelson if he came alone no problem but we all know Slash does not want to share centre stage. Maybe they genuinely knew they’d get Scott but I always thought he came up as a possibility after JT and KN were jettisoned. Is it Dirty Little Thing Keith has a writing credit ? Great track but let’s be honest Keith is far too talented to play the roll Dave Kushner played.

I'd hate to see a 2 hour GNR concert. The best one i saw was 3:20 in St. Louis. I could live without the extended version of LALD and Rocket Queen. Pass on Witchita, and slither. Add in My Michelle, street of Dreams, IRS. And keep Perhaps and Coma! Its brand new. Add shadow of your love. That should keep it around 3 hours.

I agree with most of what you both say. I have the Glastonbury show on the cd and the shorter version of Rocket queen is much more exciting. Im not fussed on LALD but I always enjoy it live. I also think Heavens door should be shortened and we have Mellisa for backing vocals. I was hoping for Locomotive in Hyde park and we got Coma again I love it but Ive seen them perform it a few times now. I hope they open with a different song next year and I hope for Get in thr ring, Dont danm me, Think about you, The general, Perhaps. I enjoy the long sets though lol.

Thank you for doing this interview and for letting Jamie explain the details of the situation. When I read the Billboard article initially a number of months ago I also thought it didn't sound like Scott died of an overdose of a specific drug, but more that there was a cumulative effect of years of drug use, plus health issues, plus what he was on at the time. I posted this comment below but I'll post it here again. I just watched the interview. She did not say he had trace amounts of heroin in his system. She said he had trace amounts of drugs in his system. Which is true. As another commenter said he had cocaine, alcohol and MDA in his system, as well as a number of prescription drugs. Here's the relevant excerpt from the Billboard article: "The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office released a ­statement on Dec. 18 finding that Weiland died ­accidentally of mixed-drug toxicity: cocaine, ethanol and ­methylenedioxyamphetamine (an analog of MDMA). Other ­significant conditions noted were ­atherosclerosis, cardiovascular ­disease, asthma and ­multiple-substance ­dependence. Plus, he was on prescription medications Lunesta, Klonopin, Viagra, Dalmane, Buprenex and Geodon." I think it matters that Scott wasn't on heroin, nor did he overdose on any specific drug. That being said, according to the coroner the mix of the drugs and medications he was on as well, plus his years of drug use, and physical and mental health issues, caused his death. Still, that doesn't sound to me like an overdose of a particular drug, technically.

Shannon was just an amazing person. He could help anyone find their way but in the process forgot to help himself. Always had everyone else's feelings and well being put before his own. Layne Staley was the same kind of guy .

Guns are the real deal!!! It would degrade them big time !!!! No reunion do not see that either steven us doing good with Ari which is a killer vocalist and his band & his Artwork now maybe a special guest might come out ? Who most likely no old members in any line up Guns can make $$$$ just doing what they have been doing especially on this tour stops they have not played in a long time then after some festivals good $$$$

Back in 1988 many USA states' age of consent ranged between 16 to 18. It was common to see 17 year old high school girls dating and going steady with guys that were in college/university. Also, our parents back then commonly had 10 year gap between them unless they were high school sweethearts. Many dad's that forbid daughters to date older guys were actual crib-robbers themselves!!!🤣🤣 Plus some girls I went to high school with back in 1985 had more mileage back then than many people have accrued in their entire lifetime!🤣

Shannon was born the same year I was born in 1967. So many people were lost at the age of 28. Including my own brother. 😢❤

I don’t have a problem with the lyrics, there was freedom of speech in those years. As far as the jacket and the design, it only might have meaning attached to it if you are an American, for foreigners it’s just a cool design. Art is meant to stir things up.
