I have never seen such a large soursop tree. U could climb it. The fruit is smaller than the ones I grew up near. It took me days to eat it. My 7 brothers and sisters did not favour it. I squashed it in a large bowl. I added milk to a portion, condensed milk to some, and eat the rest raw. John Hopkins research says it is good for cancer.
Esa fruta se llama Guanábana 😊
Quiet good size fruit
I agree :), I gave it to my friend as part of her Birthday present 🎁, I bet it was juicy, it looked scrumptious!
What's the name of that fruit
Annona muricata, Soursop , Guanabana and there is several other names depending on the country or region:). But the latin is the universal Annona muricata!
Oh ok. I have a sweetsop. How does the fruit taste
My fruit is like a custard. Is yours similar?
Is this south, central, or northern Florida
Erica the other one looks like its ready too.
I checked it with fruit picker didn’t give in , but I think will be ready soon:)!
I'm from Brazil, your tree is very beautiful. do you only have one black sapota tree? Is black sapota a dioecious plant or not?
Hi there:), thank you 😊, yes they are. On this video this one is a bisexual one…holding fruit this year!:)
Isn't that a peanut butter tree above the chameleon?
Yes 👏:))
Isn’t that an iguana?
It’s a male veiled chameleon :).
You are so cute and beautiful ❤
Thank you for the compliments I love the garden & enjoying the fruits and spreading the planting-virus !😄 Wish if all our neighbors caught this disease , quality of life is so much better minus the mosquitoes 🦟 when your plants 🌱 are growing to maturity and start to produce and creates an amazing ecosystem to everyone. Have a great day.
I prefer the yellow ones but I only have the red ones in the garden.
Love them!
What variety is your passionfruit?!🤷🏻♀️
I believe it’s a yellow sunrise .
But also might be a seedling 🌱 of it , can’t exactly remember.
He got big ears.
Ha ha , I just heard the palm leafs making some noise and looked up 😮, and found this guy, no idea 🤷🏻♀️ from where they got to our garden but now they have a whole lots of family members on the garden, spot the female a couple of months ago , then the little ones a couple of days ago now finally saw the male . Such an interesting look they have … mainly eating insects , so I am happy to have them.
@@PlantsAmore If they only eat insects and not hurting your plants, its good to have them, and they are freaking cute too, hahaha.
The melons look fresh❤
Just tasted this. It was sweeter and milder than the regular passion fruit. Not sour. So good 😋
They are , reminded me to honey sweetness. Yum
❤❤❤
Nice fruit jungle
Cute little guy
Hey, im growing these; When the fruits are very small, are they green, and they turn red? Right now they’re very small and green, slowly but surely growing though. Do I need to hand pollinate them? If so, how; And how should I care for it? Thanks.
Hey, yes they start out shades of green and also little by little build up the redish color , but it will turn the most beautiful color when it’s getting ready to be picked. Also it looses from its shine and the flesh gives in just a bit to the push. Sometimes I also pick them when they aren’t soft at all but it will take a while on counter to soften up. Kinda like an avocado 🥑 would but maturity is a must for quality fruit!:) Not necessary to hand pollinate specially if there is other Annona trees 🌳 but it will increase the yield so it’s worth the extra effort if you find the time to do that manually. I uploaded a couple of videos on how I am hand pollinating my Annonas , if you go on my channel and click on videos you will find it or I can also try to share a link here but not sure if YT would allow me . Let me try.
@@PlantsAmore Thanks so much
So cute!
That is so beautiful wow
Which part of Florida are you in and when are we getting married? 😜. I'm trying to find between 5 and 20 acres to create a someone sustainable homestead/food forest. Hoping to be around St Pete but I may need to go further south for 10b.
Ha ha 😂, married about 30 min from Fort Myers more inland , Zone 9B right next to 10 A border , time to time we got a freeze 🥶 here it sets them back but they come back normally, it all depends if you lucky the first couple of years without freeze weather and your plants get stronger they can take a little more cold weather damage and bounce back . I am dreaming of a bigger land as well because I want to plant more but I am pretty out of space . Good luck with your endeavors, it’s exciting:)!
Do you have Golden Soursop yet?
I don’t, looks pretty appetizing though! :)
@@PlantsAmore want to trade? Can you graft? What variety is your Red Custard Apple?
@@thedomestead3546 I can , but I am still trial and error phase:), it was an unknown seedling 🌱 so I named it after my son Ayden . Where are you located? My biggest thing right now I barely have time to do anything, garden wise, busy Mom.
Do you hand pollinate your custard apples?
Some years yes, but the last two years was way to busy so the insects does it and the yield is definitely smaller . But it’s plenty for our family and friends.
After the hurricane 🌀 the tree 🌳 also was struggling and that’s also influenced the fruit setting. But gave us fruit to taste this year as well.
@@PlantsAmore Thank you
Greetings Eri , Everything looks beautiful as always
Hi Dan :), thank you brother.
I have a hard time hearing you. Can you put closed captioning on so I can read what you are saying? I love your garden!
Sure thing, thank you for pointing it out.
So I tried to put on CC but the video is still processing , till that is done ✅ I don’t have an option to choose it looks like since it was a life stream.
I will check back later , let you know.
Ok , CC on.
@@PlantsAmore thank you! I will rewatch!
Achacha do look a bit sad in full sun, mine gets quite a bit of afternoon sun and the leaves are slightly yellowed compared to your tree's deep green.
That’s my experience as well. I planted many from seeds and they got sad on even morning sun ☀️… planted next to another tree that we can trim time to time seem to work thus far. Maybe plant a super fast growing tree 🌳 next to it to give it some shade but something that is easy to trim. Moringa comes to my mind. You can always chop it down or just trim it easy…
@@PlantsAmore That is a great idea! I have been placing pigeon peas around the yard to try and help as well.
@shawarrior that is great , nitrogen fixing plant as well, and very fast grower!
Done full pack
Great tour as always
Thank you for joining to the live stream:), I was so happy to share what’s new.
Sam's club just got them in $6.40 Columbia South Carolina
That’s a great price!
@@PlantsAmore we are going to save the seeds and see if they will survive the winter near Sumter South Carolina
Give it a try, although air layering is the way to go about Lychee 🌳, but it can be fun/free growing one from seed just to see. Not sure how could you get there though!?
@@PlantsAmore it can get down to 30s in the winter We use lots of leaves and pine needles for mulch. We have 80 acres of woods behind our house available to rake leaves and pine needles also. 50 truck loads of wood chips from the tree service for free. Trying to get our sandy soil better to plant.
@@richprich if it’s a long period time 30, the Lychee wouldn’t make it , but sounds like you could plant so many other wonderful fruiting trees 🌳 that you wouldn’t have to baby to much. Do you guys have heavy rains also? Rains and humidity with a lot of bugs combined brakes down mulch quick here in Florida.
Wow! You are lucky! Your tree is already so big and producing so much. Mine is still tiny
It grows quickly!:)
The first 1-2-3 years a bit slower but it shoots up after that..
@@PlantsAmore please make a taste test video
@ahmedlunat1248 I will try to do that with the next fruit. See you then:).
Those look delicious!!
Hopefully it was delicious, shared it with some good friends .
Great video! can you tell me the type of your Lychee tree, please?
It’s Mauritius Lychee variety.
@@PlantsAmore thank you.
I think it tastes sour, here in my area this fruit is called Mobe and if it is still young or not yet ripe we put this fruit in a traditional food called Ikan Mas Arsik.
Thank you for sharing ❤️.
