I just bought this set and it's probably my favorite set since the Lion Knight's Castle. It immediately made me want to make new modules and expand it using the techniques throughout. Oh and you can access the cave by removing the whole tower. I found this out by accidentally knocking it over.

strange that nobody uses the Ninjago villains for fantasy mocs I mean there really cool (like the wolfmask warriors as a cult or just a warrior tribue/evil force) and ninjago kinda become a castle fantasy without castle And I´m happy for the Nexo Knights return

the new helmet is a lion or dragon helmet. I would be good for Mongolian, Roman, or renaissance parade armor.

Glad you're covering these leaks so quickly! The helmets look Chinese lion-esque to me. Edit: For your upcoming video you should make light of the Wolfpack torso scalping on PAB. They go so quickly that only a few people can ever get them right now. Plus, the most affordable Castle set is retiring soon.

I do recommend watching monkie kid. It can take a little to get going, but I do believe it's one of, if not the best, TV show Lego has made

Warning nitpicking incomming. For Starters LotR sets came out May of 2012, not late 2011. Another thing worth pointing out, the GS pointed and Gladius aren't invetions of LotR sets. They are carryovers from CMF's , more specificly Wave 5 Gladiator, and Wave 6 Highland Battler. I mentioned those cause I remembered seeing them back in a day on Cmf's posters BEFORE LotR came out. But hey, if anything, you can say Middle earth sets were the first to introduce those 2 swords in main line sets, rather than blind polybags.

8:39 as this is a safe space for nerdery, I’ll mention this - the swords are actually really accurate to the films. The longer one is quite clearly modeled after “the sword of Strider” (AKA the sword Aragorn carries for most of the films before Narsil is reforged into Anduril). It’s actually really quite close to the IRL version. And the smaller sword is likewise a very close facsimile of Boromir’s sword, which in the film is a one-handed arming sword (shorter than a typical longsword), with an extremely broad blade as well as swept quillons on the cross guard. Again, another surprisingly faithful translation into Lego molds…I give them extra points there, for sure.

Yeah assuming they continue to expand on the theme this is amazing for any lego fantasy/medieval fans!

Does anyone know what head was used for the Human Bard? I'm trying to recreate my D&D character in LEGO. The head is perfect but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere online. Please let me know if you know where it is from or where I can find it.

Very well put, as I (as an adult) am not looking for a play set, but one for display. Historical accuracy would have been much more appreciated.

I dobt get this obsession to make women i to warriors. They just arent.

I dont like too much detail printed on the horses because it makes them less reusable. I have the prince of persia one with the carpet on it and I would have liked to use it as a black horse for my castle knights - but it doesnt fit because of the persian rug on it. The point of lego is that you can use to pieces to make whatever you want - so the more detail they add the worse of a lego piece it is really. The side detail should have been limited to the bardings so that you can reuse the horses in my humble opinion
