more progress on the mine train layout. lots of wiring ahead to activate the remote switches and all the power controlled spurs and side tracks.

made some modifications to the HO layout to support the mine ore and personal lift shaft.

Okay, where to store your 4x8 train layout. So I store mine in the garage against the wall. Well, how do you put that against the wall you may ask. This video shows you just how that is done.

HOn30 ( narrow gage HO) layout with the miner lights (fairy lights) temporarily taped down to the roadbed. I will move to the pseudo rock walls after I terraform the layout. That will be after the Spokane train show coming up on March 3rd, 2024. See you there!

Maiden run of the new HOn30 mine engine on the mine train layout. The motor base is from Kato n-gage 11-109 and the body is 3D printed from a vendor on eBay

Didn't plan on a traveling train yard but we enjoy doing the Spokane train shows with the layout. Well, it's just too long to go into a 5 x 8 covered trailer easily. So I removed 2 inches in length, its now 8 ft long not 8ft 1.5 inches.

thanks , got the prototype mine shaft in place now need to figure out what to make the final hoist from
@modeltrainplayyard-4x8 perhaps 3d print a system? Also will the lift carry any rolling stock up?
