    This is fantastic, thank you very much. I grew up in Armadale, and now live in Nashville, TN. This did a lot to help with my homesickness! ❤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    I enjoyed that - some memories there. I wonder what is going on in the pic at 3:34 It looks like a crowd of folks have turned up to watch a man dig up the road?? Also, at 4:24 that looks like the old Bathgate FC football ground behind the High Church.

    • @scottimaskedmusician
      @scottimaskedmusician 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the men digging the road was a gas leak in Hopetoun Street. I don't have a date for the picture at 4.24 but could well be the old Football Park which is now housing and has been for many years.

      @@scottimaskedmusician Thanks for that. Even for something as potentially enlivening as a gas leak, that does appear an inordinately large crowd. We certainly made our own entertainment back in the day. Mill Park was developed during the 1930s, as the council were demolishing slums up the top end of the town.

    Very nice. What model of accordion is that. Most of my career I played Weltmiesters, my favourite being a weltmiester Amigo, which had a beautiful 3 voice musette tuning, which was perfect for Parisian music, but could also drop the center clarinet Reed leaving the hi and low tuned clarinet reeds for Scottish. Now I exclusively play Roland digital accordions, but one day I might have some new Reed blocks made for my Amigo to allow me to swap out the bassoon reeds for piccolo.anyway well played young man.

      Hi its a Welmeister Topas IV musette tuned at the factory. Ive since had it retuned to a wider wetter musette

      @@scottimaskedmusician Thanks. If I were ever to have another acoustic accordion I would have either a full five reed treble ( L M M M H ) or four reed ( M M M H), but I have no plans at the moment for returning to playing acoustic. I love my Roland’s too much.

  • @kentaccordionist

    Great sound. I have 2 Roland’s. The Fr-3s and the Fr-3x, and work as one half of an accordion and pipes duo, along with a pipe major friend of mine who’s ex scores guards. I have been thinking about getting a bk7m for a while now. I already own a technics sm-ac1200 and a korg i5m, but the Roland has the edge on the sounds. Anyways loved your playing well done.

    Hi there, I'm compiling a video for the 2015 Bathgate Creative Places Award application and I'm looking for footage of the procession and other creative events in and around Bathgate. Could you please give me permission to use this video? It would be very much appreciated and would bring a lot to West Lothian economically, socially and artistically. Please let me know. Thanks.
