@@Starlit.Melody ❤️🫶 ahhh thank you so so much!! Really appreciate it!!
@AnasBookery you're welcomeee!!
Bro create a piece of art❤ your drawing looks great. You have a lot of talent!
@@lushi3301 Oh thank you so much!!❤️
Just to let you know have started "To Be Taught If Fortunate" am in the early, technically descriptive parts of the sci-fi when they've just woken up and here's the thing - for once it is not boring 👍 so thank you in advance. "Remarkably Bright Creatures" sounds interesting thank you for that as well. Be sure you're over your cold do not push yourself physically for a little while. 👍
Some really good book recommendations!! 👀 I had *no idea* When Among Crows was so short. For some reason I thought it was like 400+ pages and so I kept putting it off. I guess not anymore!! 😍 You said 'we're almost done, I swear' at the end, but I could listen to you recommend books all day 😂 I am cooking, but I have my phone open with Libby and Goodreads and I was a bit sad to hear you say the recommendations were almost over, haha I hope you feel better soon! As you know, I can understand you completely right now 😭 I only really started feeling fully back to normal a couple of days ago. Hopefully you get better much quicker!!
Ooooh I really hope you pick up When Among Crows! Honestly the perfect little novella, I almost wish it was 400+ pages 😂 Thank you so much!! Thats exactly how I fell with your videos! And thank you! the cold is pretty much over now thankfully haha Glad you are feeling better as well!
Well "The Great Gatsby" is only like 170 pages so people can also do their classics reading without spending forever on it 😏😺 They have "To Be Taught -" at the Brooklyn Library Central for me will be picking it up in a couple of days 👍 The cat is having a luxurious stretch on the table I love it but my Italian abuela would have been screaming what is the cat doing on the table 😁😸
@@JohnSeney-t1i I’ve been meaning to read The Great Gatsby for way too long now😅 didn’t realize it was so short now I am not as hesitant to reach for it haha Ooooh really hope you enjoy To Be Taught If Fortunate, you’ll have to let me know! A part of me agrees with your Italian abuela tbh 😂💛 but this cat has claimed that spot as his and now even has a little blanket set there for his afternoon naps haha
Oh I agree, give him whatever he needs for maximum comfort! 😺😀👍 My abuela who raised me was an animal lover but there was no tolerance for them in her kitchen, or for me either for that matter 😁😸 The thing with "Gatsby" is it's very summery so you might want to wait a few months!
😍😍😍
Love this art!! It fits her so well. Please, please do all the Raven Boys and the aunts and just everyone else even remotely important! 😍 I loooove watching the process and hearing you talk about the steps you took and references and everything. I don't usually ever draw or paint people, mostly because of hair and skin. I can't believe you love rendering skin so much, haha. Maybe I would feel different if it was digital art? But goodness, painting skin is a nightmare ☠ You did an amazing job on everything and I loved the changes you made to her face so much. It really made it look like *Blue* to me! P.S - in the first book it is mentioned by Ronan one time that Chainsaw is indeed a girl! Haha
@@RaesReads Thank you so much!!💛 I think I will try and complete the mini series with all the Raven Cycle characters hehe Digital art definitely feels very different when it comes to rendering/painting skin! I think the reason I love it so much is cause I have truly enjoyed the process of learning about it but I agree that it’s so much harder with traditional mediums like pencil drawing or paint 😅 now I feel like I need to try an acrylic painting of a person to see if I can still say I love rendering skin haha Would love to see your art one day!! 💛 I usually stick to people because I struggle with everything else haha Really glad that she gives off Blue vibes!! And thank you for confirming that Chainsaw is a girl haha my memory is not as faulty as I thought 😅
@@AnasBookery Yay! I am super pumped to see the rest of them. Skin with acrylic is deadly, haha. I am not the biggest fan of acrylic in general, as I feel like it is just so unforgiving and dries sooo quickly! To do skin with that medium? ☠ If I had to pick a medium for skin, I'm going with oil, but in general that's also too much work, haha . I just tend to stick with non-humans with watercolor and, recently, gouache! My husband also creates a lot of art with alcohol markers and those are *really* growing on me too! I think I will likely never share my art, though, as it is NOT great, hahaha. I paint for personal joy, not necessarily for beautiful works 🤪😂
@@RaesReads It might take me a while to finish them because the more I read the books the more I want to change their design 😅 but I agree that acrylic is definitely one of the least forgiving mediums haha I would love to get my hands on some oil paints or gouache! Ive never worked with them but they seem so much for flexible and forgiving haha I believe art should always be for personal joy! I hope you and your husband continue to enjoy it as a little side hobby 🥰
The curtain flying over your face in the beginning of the video was perfect timing actually 😂 It cracked me up Can't wait to see your Raven Cycle vlog!!! I just finished the 1st book last night and already borrowed the 2nd, haha. I loved it, I just didn't rate it 5 stars, as I feel like the beginning was a little slow / not that intriguing to me. Not sure why, but the end really gripped me and I just love Maggie's writing and all her similes and metaphors, haha. There were so many great quotes in the book 😂💜 Looooove your crocheted kindle sleeve!! It's so cute. I can't believe you listened to Traitors Masque in a single day, haha. It really is perfect for after some horror books. I think I also read it after some heavier books and TM was just so wholesome and innocent comparatively and I loved the British accent for the audiobook soooo much. The scene you mentioned in that one horror book sounds... rough. Haha. I also would need to read a book like TM after that, goodness gracious, hahaha Love hearing the T. Kingfisher love!! Haha. I will never get over the possessed chicken and the bone dog. Love them so much 😂 I'm a bit ashamed to say I knew nothing about Arcane until my company partnered with them to make hair colors for three of the characters. Me and my two coworkers in the meeting about it were like "huh? What is that?" 🙈 Perhaps I should give it a little peek if you love it so much 👀
@@RaesReads Wait I cannot believe your company worked on Arcane?!? Omg that’s so exciting! I would love to one day get the opportunity to work on something like that! May I ask what you work on? (Understand if it’s private!🫶) I would definitely recommend checking the show out, the story writing of it is absolutely amazing and the art is breathtaking. I am obsessed with it. Now to reply to the rest haha the curtain wanted to be the main show in the intro 😅 and I totally understand giving The Raven Boys 4 stars! I did as well the first time I read it, since this was a reread of the first book to get myself into the full series I think I was able to fully invest myself because I already knew the beginning was a bit slow. But so glad you are liking them! 💛 Honestly have to thank you again for recommending Traitors Masque!! It truly saved my weeks haha and I think I will for sure be reading more of Kenley Davidson’s work, might save them for those moments where I just need a wholesome cozy fantasy/romance 💛 I am hooked on T.Kingfisher now hehe just need to decide which of her books to read next! Thank you for the support always!💛
This is amazing!! I love it so much. It really fits her and I am obsessed with the shirt, hahaha
@@RaesReads Ahhh thank you!💛 That means so much because I truly struggled with it hahaha honestly would love to have it in real life 😅
That is a beautiful girl that you render in your sketch 👍 she is a character in the Raven Boys books?
@@JohnSeney-t1i Thank you!! And yes she’s one of the main characters, barely 5 feet tall and a badass haha
Sounds like my kind of girl for sure 😸😁
Fried egg looks amazing. 👌
@@RebeccaAmalia highly recommend! Had them again on some sourdough bread with fresh basil on top and it was delicious
I can offer an interpretation of that murder-sex sequence, it is simple enough once you've read enough of this stuff 😸😆: the killer entered an animalistic state (obvious enough if he's turned into a werepuma 😆😸) and then totally massacres his prey as an animal will so as to EAT the prey, then desires sex as a further animalistic desire which has been triggered by his murderous activity, and so immediately gets down with his girl. Just going by your description but I have read similar scenarios over the years, most recently in your favorite book "Earthlings" 😏😸 🎉 which had a similar scenario for the controversial climax. The first black and white cat looks like my late cat Bootsy 😭 but thank you!! 👍 Did you make the huevos? They ignited MY bestial urges and I became ravenous!
@@JohnSeney-t1i I can understand that to an extent but I think it was so unnecessary to the story 😅 maybe just not my cup of tea haha (earthlings lol) took me by surprise for sure! Oh so sorry to hear about Bootsy! And yes the eggs with fried cheese are to die for, absolutely delicious!!
@AnasBookery Of course the author still has to make it work. Which always has the same result: it will work for some and not for others. From the publisher's point of view the question is does it work enough to turn a profit! 😸😁
I just wish critics of "Earthlings" would make note of its happy ending, is what I wish even if it is not exactly a conventional one 😏😸 Murata's latest is coming out here next year 🤩🥳🎉 I am happy to say. I guess "Earthlings" did well enough in spite of its controversy that American publishers want more Murata! I have noted "To Be Taught If Fortunate" because of your 100 out of 10 rating, it would seem a book rated such MUST be read so I will look for it in the Brooklyn Public Library central. And it has the added advantage of being short, which is increasingly appreciated the older I get, I mean we all want to get as much reading done as we can and how many pages do you need to make your point if you are not Dostoyevsky or Balzac? More of the gatos! 👍 We only got a glimpse of those two beautiful creatures at the conclusion! (Love the mug by the way)
@@JohnSeney-t1i You are right, although not a conventional happy ending whatsoever haha it was a happy ending in a way for the characters themselves! I will most likely be picking up Muratas next book, might just wait for some other readers to give their opinions on it to have a clearer idea what I am going into 😅 I am excited to hear that! “To Be Taught If Fortunate” truly is an incredible book, to have the talent of saying so much and encapsulating such beautifully raw and complex characters in less than 200 pages is a feat, I hope you love it as much as I did!! 💛
@@AnasBookery It is called "Vanishing World" and will be out next April 15! It is about a Japan where sex no longer exists and everyone is born by artificial insemination! 😲🙀 My odds of finding "To Be Taught-" in the library are good but I will buy it if I have to 👍!
Even if most were less than 300, that is still a very impressive number this month 🙌 I love hearing your monthly wrap up and hearing more thoughts to the ratings and quick reviews you leave on Goodreads 😁 I loooove when non-fiction audiobooks are narrated by the authors themselves! All The Living and The Dead sounds quite interesting (and quite dark). I think I miiiight be adding it to my TBR, haha
@@RaesReads Thank you!!💛 I think All The Living and The Dead is a great discussion around death and maybe we should all know a bit more about it, but yes it’s definitely quite dark so maybe take it at a slower pace and bounce back and forth with something lighter to balance the mood! 🫶
I still have to get around to reading the Sworn Soldier duology from T. Kingfisher!! I also really don't typically enjoy or reach for any horror that is about human horrors. I think we get enough of that in our own lives 😅 I definitely prefer fantastical horror whenever I reach for the genre! P.S crazy how you can finger cross all of your fingers, hahaha. I tried for like 5 mins at the end of your video and I just cannot for the life of me get my pinkies to cooperate 🤣
@@RaesReads I am so excited to dive into more of her books this month!! Already started one hehe Exactly! We get enough human horrors in real life I think I’ll be avoiding books like that from now on 🥲 I saw someone do it one day and discovered I also could so now my superstitious self does it every time hahaha as if it would make my wish bigger 🤣 I don’t think it’s normal at all though haha my sister thinks I am a weirdo
I didn't think you'd love "Earthlings" like some of us do but I did think you'd appreciate it in a sense, and you did by reading it in lightning time like even people who dislike it report they do 👍 SPOILER ALERT I hold out that it has a positive ending (it more than once features justice for oppressed sex abuse victims) which is literal and that to see it only as insane is a mistake, but everyone has their own reading of any book. You also recognize the talent of Murata by liking her G-rated "Convenience Store Woman" like practically everyone does 👍 Ah another Costa Rican kitty as a closer keep them coming! 😸
@@JohnSeney-t1i I agree that Murata has great talent in story telling and I am definitely open to reading more of her work! (and yes definitely agree that the justice for sexual assault in the book was needed) I’ll never stop adding Costa Rican kitties to the videos, glad they are appreciated💛
Haha, I always have a (very) unrealistic TBR 😂 I like it better that way, though! I get variety and lots to pick from. I just call it my "list to choose from" now instead of anything implying that I will actually get to them all 😂😂 Sooooooo excited to see you read Nettle and Bone!! That is definitely my vote! It is literally my favorite book ever, haha. Also so excited to see you read the Raven Cycle series, the Bloodsworn saga, the Locked Tomb series, and *all* of the standalones, haha. You have such a good TBR this month!!! 👀 P.S - Traitors Masque is definitely a standalone, yes, so no worries! There are technically 6 books in the series, but they are *all* standalones. P.P.S - congrats on 100 subscribers! 🎉🎉
@@RaesReads I love that hahah might have to change my tbr’s to “lists to choose from” as well 😂 I am also super excited I can already tell November will be a great reading month and I’ll definitely be reading Nettle and Bone!💛 And so glad to hear that Traitor’s Masque works as a standalone😅 Thank you!!!💛 and thank you so much for all the support!
You're so real for putting The Starless Sea there It's not common for me to read a fantasy book and really feel the magic, but with this one I did for sure
@@moony2414 Exactly! The way it’s written truly brings the magic to life, I even dare to say it’s my favorite standalone book ever 💛
I remember my early sci-fi books of about 50 years ago. Loved the "lensman" series by EE DOC Smith but now I the only reading I do is on my PC and they are not books.
Also, I am obsessed with your recent video endings always being a clip of a cat 😭💜
@@RaesReads everytime I meet a new kitty or get to hangout with family or friends that have cats I have to document it haha 💛
@@AnasBookery Hahha, I understand, because same 😂💜
The second you said jail, I *knew* you would put Old Man's War in there 🤣 I am not the biggest fan of sci-fi, but I do have a few on my TBR and luckily most of them are in your top tiers! Feels so good to have them kind of validated by you and know that I should indeed give them a read 💜
@@RaesReads🤣🤣 I am that predictable haha But yay I hope you end up enjoying the ones on your tbr!! 💛
@@AnasBookery Haha, yes, but in a good way!! And thank you! I am sure I will, as you loved them so much 😄
If you show your long neck, so pretty btw, wearing a choker would look so good on uou

Love quarter recaps!! We both read a similar amount of books in Q3 😄 I have The Familiar on my TBR, but I keep hearing that it's not that good. Breaks my heart, as I really wanted to love it! I will still give it a go eventually, but I think I will just need to go in with muuuuuch lower expectations. I am also hoping to tier rank all my 2024 reads *in order* and I am also already afraid 😂😂 I always get analysis paralysis when it comes to ranking any of my favorites, especially books, haha
@@RaesReads We did! Pretty good set of reading months thankfully haha I am excited to hear your thoughts on The Familiar whenever you do read it and SO excited to see your 2024 tier rank! 😅 it will be a struggle but one worth while haha
Hi there, just discovered your channel. Firstly, I LOVE the painting of the eye in the background. Whose work is that? Secondly, I like books about djinns too! Have you read The Jinn-Bot of Shantiport? It’s an interesting take on the sub-genre (is it even a sub-genre?) Wishing you all the best with your channel!
@@ardenne24 Thank you so much! 💛 I actually painted that eye haha a few months ago, trying to get back into painting! So glad you like it :) Oooh I have no heard of The Jinn-Bot of Shantiport but it’s going straight on my TBR thank you for the recommendation! @@AnasBookery Umm wow, you’re talented. Btw, Later on I saw the video of you painting the seascape and figured the painting of the eye is probably yours! Excellent collection. Thank you so much for sharing the video, Ana! Keep it up and keep smiling and shining always. Enjoy the spooky season to the fullest and take care 🙂
@@songofromeeeO oh thank you so much! You as well💛
@@AnasBookery Also, where are Brandon Sanderson's books?
@@wooshbait36 I haven’t read any yet 🥲😅 I really need/want to but don’t even know where to start hahah which would you recommend for Brandon Sanderson beginner?
@@AnasBookery Since you have already read a lot of fantasy, you can start with Stormlight Archive book one, which is "The Way of Kings." it's a bit slower-paced but absolutely worth it for character development and some of the most epic moments that you will ever read, and book two in the series is masterpiece. If you want shorter and fast-paced, then read Mistborn.
@@AnasBookery There are also Graphic Audio versions of his books that have full cast and music and sounds; it's awesome but it's pricy.
I’ve read most of these hehe but some others I haven’t 😅. Some already in my TBR but will add a few more based on your recommendations 🤗
I have been waiting to hear your thoughts on A Dark and Drowning Tide after I saw how you gave it 3 stars on Goodreads after you mentioned how excited you were to read it!! What a sad turn of events after the 50% mark. I have heard from more than one person now how the second half seemed rushed and that they did not connect with the characters as they should have. *Loooove* all the animals. Kiki is to die for 😍
@@RaesReads I am so upset about it tbh 🥲 I had such high hopes for it and now I feel like I am in a desperate hunt to fill in the void it left me with haha Thank you!!🥰 Kiki is the best, grumpy and needy all at once, still a baby at 13 haha
@@AnasBookery I definitely know that feeling all too well 🥲 Haha, those are the best cats 😂
Wow it was cats and dogs everywhere there I'll always support that! 👍😃😺
@@JohnSeney-t1i they truly make like so much better!
Your issue with physical books is my issue with ebooks, and I've just bought 2 ebooks at 1000+ pages each 😭, it will take me so long
@@closet_bibliophile4355 oh nooo hahaha I am wishing you the best of luck with them!! I find that turning off the option to see how many pages or percentage is left of the book really helps me because it’s takes off that pressure of knowing how much you have left to read😅
@@AnasBookery actually didn't think of that that might come in handy thanks
@@closet_bibliophile4355 hope it helps!💛
I'm the same way with physical books. I want to read them... but it's just so much easier to listen or use my Kindle, haha. Ive wanted to read Annie Bot for a while, but it just seems so heavy and hard to read. The topic is crazy and I know it would make me so angry sometimes, but I have also heard it's worth it, so I don't know. I am just so torn, haha. I think I will keep it on my TBR, but I don't know if I will ever prioritize reading it 😅 Loved hearing your thoughts on Starter Villain - I agree 100% with everything!! You are so welcome for the rec 😂💜
@@RaesReads I blame Kindles for being so convenient and comfy to hold 😅 I think not prioritizing Annie Bot is the right choice hahaha although I am so glad I read I don’t really feel comfortable recommending it sadly 😅 maybe as a buddy read with a friend? (who is willing to after reading trigger warnings 🥲) and that way you can discuss and be angry together! Might help haha
@@AnasBookery Haha, yeah that is a really good idea. I think if I do ever read Annie Bot, I will have to do it just like that, as I will certainly need another person to rage and discuss with 😅
I am so late in watching this, haha, but I am so happy to see this idea in video form now!! Love the name 'From Book to Canvas' and love the painting. It is so beautiful!! The sloth shots were the best and the cats too, haha. Also, I am obsessed with your nails 💜💜

@@Victoria-ht1fo I am both excited and terrified to read it! But I love hearing that so many people love it💛
Well I could recommend all sorts of stuff but you've got what you need right there in "Earthlings." It could be seen as horror but it is also the finest modern literature in my view. Everything I have read by Murata in English is excellent but her "Convenience Store Woman" is very different from "Earthlings" or the "Life Ceremony" stories so be prepared. There is sexual assault and gory violence in "Earthlings" but the little guy on the cover is also very significant in it and in my opinion it ends positively, we'll see what you think but one thing for sure is you won't find it to be like anything you've read before 😆😸
@@JohnSeney-t1i Thank you for the warnings! As I have only read “Convenience Store Woman” haha I now feel a bit more ready to dive into “Earthlings”, although perhaps also a bit more hesitant 😅
@@AnasBookery You deserve all the credit for being willing to challenge yourself to read potentially disturbing things 👍
Emily and Ruben created a great tag that allowed people to talk about books they found beautiful. Best wishes with what you choose to read. I hope you get some great stories. Happy reading from Lancashire, England.
I like the painting what you are reading concept but totally disagree with the "only those who have been affected by an injustice" can write about it. From slavery to suffrage to sex slavery to the plight of Native Americans and beyond, most cases of injustice are brought to the forefront by sympathetic voices outside of the sphere of the affected. There was a groundswell of support against slavery and eventually those voices brought it to a tipping point (at least in America; around the globe slavery is still an epidemic). Ditto with just about every cause imaginable. Freedom of expression should never be curtailed based upon one's status.
@@Bawbcaht I agree that these topics should be discussed and sympathetic voices with the privilege to be heard help a lot! However I think in a lot of cases it narrows down to the execution of how these stories are told, to make sure we aren’t silencing the voices that should be heard by only shining light on those of white privileged authors. In this case I believe T.J Klune wrote a beautiful duology about kindness, holding on to hope, fighting against discrimination, found family and a great discussion around queerness, parenting and adoption. Without overshadowing other voices that deserve to be heard and tell their stories.
@@AnasBookery I'm not trying to be argumentative but how can writing a book silence somebody who is also writing a book? Telling somebody that they don't have a moral right to freely express their opinions is tyrannical at best and evil at worst.
This is such a beautiful idea. I loved watching you paint. The video was very relaxing. 😊
@@adelina_bonca Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it 💛
Also, I loved you trying to remember what all of the books were about. 'vampires. sapphic? poly? romance. fun' - every time it sounds like slam poetry 😂😂
@@RaesReads 🤣 my memory works in weird ways when it comes to books I’ve read and calling it slam poetry is the best compliment I’ve received about it haha thank you!
Haha, I have the same problem (and the *exact* same situation with LOTR!! I too was thinking of just doing a vlog starting from the beginning again to *finally* finish them) 😂 Omg, I can't believe you hated Old Mans War!! I read his other book Starter Villain and was so obsessed with it (solid 5 star read for me!) and with Scalzi's writing, so I immediately put OMW on my TBR, haha. I don't really like sci-fi, though, so I have just been unsure about reading it or not and I keep putting it off. It was super nice to hear your opinion about it (especially without spoilers - thank you!!) and I feel like I mayyyybe won't give it a go, as the things you mentioned bothering you would bother me too... I agree 100% on Iron Flame. The first book? Quite decent. Second book? Hated it. One of the worse sequels I have ever read. I have been stuck on 70% for like 2 months, haha. T. Kingfisher is one of my all time fav authors! Nettle and Bone is by far my favorite book from her, but I've heard from some people that they hated it, haha. So who knows! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the series' you will continue with!! I have like 99% of these on my TBR, haha (P.S - hope your nose feels better!!)
@@RaesReads Maybe we can make we could buddy read the LoTR one day! Motivate each other to finally get through them 😅 I looove sci fi and so I think that’s also why it disappointed me so much, but I might as well give Starter Villain a try hehe I trust your judgment! And honestly when it comes to Iron Flame I’d vote for not even finishing it 😅 the last 30% just get worse in my opinion haha I’ll be reading Nettle and Bone next then! I have heard it’s a hit or miss for many but I am hopeful I’ll end up loving it as much as you do! (My nose has fully healed! Thank you🤍)
@@AnasBookery Yes! I honestly think that is the only way I will get through it, haha. I love the movies so much and I loved it when I first read book 1 years ago, but I just get sidetracked by so many other, new books 😅 I hope you like Starter Villain whenever you do try it. I am a bit worried, haha Oh no 😂 I am really torn, because I do think it was getting more annoying and I keep hearing it was awful, but also, I am such a type A person. The thought of not finishing something is hard, haha I really hope you love Nettle and Bone! Just like Starter Villain, it was a solid 5 stars for me. As mentioned, though, I am a bit afraid 😂Hopefully, at the very least, you moderately enjoy both!!
@@RaesReads We should buddy read them at some point next year to finally get it over with haha especially since I am sure we will love them! I get that 😅 maybe you should finish it just to be able to rant about it haha I am probably going to try and read Starter Villain and Nettle and Bone next month hehe sounds great for October reads! I’ll let you know what you think! 🥰
Random bits and bobs, eh? I'm the most random Bob in the bookverse so it's only proper that I stumbled upon your channel. Your English is great. In fact, I'd say that you are more fluent than 50% of English-speaking Americans.
@@Bawbcaht thank you!!
😍Thank you for tagging me!! I might take a while to manage it, haha, but I will definitely do it eventually 💜 I've never heard of this tag, but I love it! I loved your answers and explanations so much too. You so often read and talk about books that I have had on my TBR for a long time, but just always reached over for one reason or another and you* always* make me want to read them immediately!! Haha
@@RaesReads No rush!🤍 excited to see your answers to the prompts! I feel the same way with your videos! I think we have very similar tbr’s and are simply reading each others unread ones hahaha
Yes you should keep that book just for the cat on the cover. Things must sometimes be done that the heart understands more than the head 👍 😺
I loved Open Water! “Hope” is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all -" Max Porter must be a fan of Emily Dickinson-aren't we all? Thank you for participating Ana! Great original prompt
@@TheLinguistsLibrary thank you for the tag Emily! Love the comparison between Max Porter and Emily Dickinson!
Thanks for joining in! Glad Emily tagged you.
So many books Ana!! I am glad you are reading so much!! Loved the cats🥰 The Shadow of the Gods sounds so good!! Hopefully I get around to reading it soon. Loved the vibe of this video💖
@@AFuentes303 Thank you!!🤍 I have The Shadow of the Gods ready for you to borrow next time I see you!
So many books and so little time. Happy reading to you.
@@ReadingIDEAS.-uz9xk every readers struggle sadly! Right back at you ☺️
I love your kindle cover!! 💜 I also love color coding and love your little TBR jar so much, haha. I have wanted to read The Shadow of the Gods for foreeeeeever. I'm so happy this vlog was about it! It only made me want to read it so much more, haha. Loved hearing about the other books too! Such beautiful plants and scenery. I love and miss Costa Rica so much, haha. I wish I could afford to fly out every year 😂 Also, I am obsessed with your idea of a painting and reading recap vid!! I love both hobbies so much and would watch the heck out of those videos 😂💜
Awwww thank you!🤍 working on the painting/reading vlog right now! Can’t wait to hear your reaction to The Shadow of The Gods! I have been trying to make everyone in my life read it so that I have someone to discuss it with 😅 but no one so far has wanted to start it haha I definitely feel so privileged to be living here, hopefully you can visit again at some point! Maybe you and your husband can have a little anniversary celebration trip one day🤍 I’ve been wanting to visit Europe and Germany for so long! My boyfriend has family in Germany and has been a couple times so hopefully in the next few years I can join him to meet them ☺️ it looks like such a beautiful country and so different from here!
@@AnasBookery Can't wait to see it!! 😍 Haha, I might not start it for a while either, but I will definitely try to sneak it in as soon as possible - I am sure I will love it! I hope so too! We would love to go back for our 5 yr anniversary perhaps! (and then 6 and 7 and 8, etc, haha) You definitely have to make it out here at least once, it is so nice! If your boyfriend has family here then it's perfect 🙌 There is soooo much to do and see here. The nature in Germany is very different to the Americas, but it is *so* stunning, especially in southern Germany! And Europe in general is so connected and small. It's so easy to country hop which makes for tons and tons of fun!
@@RaesReads Hopefully you are able to come and visit more of the country as well!! I cannot wait to visit Europe! The south of Germany looks beautiful with all the mountains and just gorgeous landscape! One day 🥰
@@AnasBookery When you do make it out here, feel free to ask me any questions! I’ve got millions of recommendations and tips for around this area 😂💜
@@RaesReads Thank you!! And same here if you every need any tips with Costa Rica🤍
Have you ever read William S. Burroughs, and more currently it does not get weirder than Sayaka Murata's "Earthlings" or Missouri Williams' "The Doloriad."
@@JohnSeney-t1i I have both Earthlings and The Doloriad on my tbr but not going to like have been a bit scared to start them haha your recommendation is motivating me to do so though! Will try to get to them during October, spooky month sounds like the perfect time for disturbing books 😅 will check out William S. Burroughs as well, thank you!
