I'm an atheist, and if church were like this, I'd go three days a week.
There is something to be said about the black church of America and the soul within.
ME: And that was the greatest day of my life. MY 6-YEAR-OLD SON: What about when I was born? ME: Not even close. *joke credit to Robot Chicken*
Just another Sunday for James Brown.
they were on the money putting the godfather of soul in this scene
It's Sunday and after watching this I don't have to go to church. God bless the United States of America.
looks like Ringo's drum kit.....lolololo
you've never been to a church like this?
fastest gospel ever
Love this scene.
What a scene. :) Based upon the music and the spirituality of African-Americans (James Brown, Chaka Khan, supporting cast), filmed and made possible by European-Americans (Universal Pictures Studio crew), starring a Canadian-American (Dan Aykroyd) and an Albanian-American (John Belushi), directed by a Jewish-American (John Landis). One of the greatest moments in cinematic comedy history. Well, folks? I can think of no greater argument for diversity. God bless America. :)
je jure que je crois a cet Dieu....James Brown....c'est une religion j'adoreeeeeeeeee
church is not a choreograph show, but john sure could cut a mean holy step!

"Music is the only religion that delivers the goods."--Frank Zappa. I saw this entire movie, one weekday afternoon, upon its initial release, in an urban theater, wherein I do believe I was the only Caucasian in attendance... ...and the reaction of the "urban" audience to this scene made me feel as though I was in Church, musically, and changed my life forever. (All props to Elmer Bernstein for the epiphany music, when Jake gets his great awakening.)
Now that's Church!
Man If only i could find a church this CRUNK!!
