This channel is all about Hawaii and travel and beyond. Focusing on Maui and the Hawaiian Islands, with my perspecitve as both a former videographer for Expedia and as a Concierge in the hospitality field ince 2003 in Hawaii.. I've helped create many good vacations for my guests over the years thoughout the Hawaiian islands. Many guests suggested that I share some on my insight and experiences to a larger audience. Hence Filming Paradise was created.
We will explore the many facuets of the Hawaiian Islands and the trips that we take beyond the islands, to give you good infomration about the many activiites, restaruants, hotels and vacation clubs thoughtout our travels. Poly Ad Haleakala Sunset Tour. History, culture, comfort, to one of the world best sunsets!
Haleakala Crater is one of Maui's most popular tours. This is one of the most powerful spirtual vortexes in the world, but the driving can be challenging as there aren't any streetlights driving back unitl around 3, 000 ft. The tour companies, know the road inside and out, do so in comfort, give you history and share culture. I defiantly recommeend going with Poly Ad for their Sunset, Sunrise or mid day tour. Sunset seems to be the most consitatnly good weather with the bonus of the colors and the star gazing. Sunrise drives need a goverment permit or you will be turned around. The tour comapnies already have the permits. This is the fastest you can drive to 10,000 in the USA.

Maui has a number of Thai restaruants on island, and this is one of the best. Tucked away in the heart of Kihie, Azeka plaza, this gem is one of the many good value restaraunts in South Maui. Really good Curry, Pad Thai and so much more.

Leilani's on the beach is in the heart of Kaanapali at Whalers Village. Right next to Hula Grill, this beach side gem has a casual menu, with catch of the day, fish tacos, burgers, steaks and more. Don't forget their famous "HULA PIE" a classic dessert made to share!

Pacific Jet sports operate half of the year from Mid May to Mid December. During Whale Season, they have to shut down due to the high concentration of whales. Take a zodiac from Kaanapali beach, to their float dock about a 5 minute boat ride out. Easy and fun, they offer single rides, taduem rides and even triple rides if you are under the weight limits. This is the only place to rent on island.

The Drums of the Pacific is a good luau, right next to the beach walk in Kaanapali. The Daners werer polished, the food was a good buffet with tradational luau drinks all included. They touch on many of the polenisain dances as you journey back in time, all done with a modern Twist.

One of the more unique and fun things is biking down Haleakala. Its highly recommeded that you go with a company that guides you, so you have a lead bicyclist that uses hand signals of when to slow down and use the shoulder as it's easy to get going to fast. Maui Off Road Adventures has state of the art polaris UTV"s. They are like an Dune Buggy with Rolls bars and much better suspension. Drive on 27 miles of private former sugar cane and pineapple fields land. You assend about 3000 feet and there's not other way to really access this land other than heliocpter. Super fun as long as you are okay getting dusty or muddy.

Maui's Finest Luau was in Paia, Maui the nigth we attended. This was a fun evening, a good date night, the musican's were really good and the show got better as the night progressed. Open bar an all you can eat buffet that was good, cultural and right near the beach made for a great evening.

Cambodia has some of the most interesting carvings, statues, ruins and temples in the world. We visited the Banyon Temples in Siam Reap. This temples are over 1100 years old and are still standing. These are incredible works of art, even in todays standards. We also did a photo shoot with our family to honor my wifes Heritage in Cambodia.

True, its a specail occansion place living here. They do offer local discounnts which helps. But for seaside dinning in Hawaii, I think its still a decent value for people traveling to Maui.

Maui's Finest Luau has very bad reviews online. It looks like super fun in your video. Are they honest? I don't to pay and get cancelled? What do you think?
Aloha, Maui's Finest Luau was really fun. At the time, it was what I considered one of the best value luaus on Maui. The show was very entertaining, the musican's were long time performers, the food was tasty and the grounds at the time were in Paia. As a Concerige, I never had an issue refunding the guests, if there was a cancellation. I'm not sure if they are currently running, as they moved from Paia, to Kihei the end of last year. I hope this helps.
Compared to others, do you think this luau is worth the price?
Aloha, I think it's one of the top Luau's on Maui for someone that has lived here for 21 year and done many luau's. It's some of the very best Luau Grounds, Chef Prepared Meals, Full Wait Service, Private tables and full Wait Service. The run with about 5% of the guests that they used to and all of the upgrades that I mentioned above, is why it's priced where it is. I agree some with the comment below,The Oll Lahaina Luau is a very good show, but no fire knifes dancer vs 4 at the Grand Luau, the Food in my opiion is much better at the Grand, but they are both good experieinces, just very differnet luaus. I hope this helps.

Aloha, we didn’t upgrade to premire seating and we felt our seating was fine. We do sometimes when we want better opportunities to film and take pictures. If you want the very best seats then it is worth the upgrade. I hope this helps.
Did you op for the "Premier Seating"? Think its worth the extra $40 per person?
As I have been to Maui over 20 times and stay at the Kea LANI HOTEL 🏨 And nothing against us luau but the best by far was the Lahaina old town. Luau may peace and love to all the people of Maui, and especially Lahaina.
Hi there,I loved your video!!! A quick question if you could please answer : was water at the sandbar cold? We are planning to go there for the very first time this Christmas so it would be nice to know about the water 😉.
Aloha Thank you for your nice comments. The water was in the high 70's so for Mainland stardards that not bad, but a bit chilly for Hawaii. It can get up to the low 80's in the summer and fall, but it was fine with a rash guard and the snorkel experience along with playing volleyball on a sandbar was a really cool experience. I'd suggest water socks if you have them for the sandbar stop. Have fun.

Mahalo for your comments. Right now, I use a simple set up, while figouring out the next camera to purchase. I filmed the Cambodia series, with just my Iphone 13 pro, Go pro 11 and An older Canon Rebel T2I for some of the photos. We also have some of the photos from the photographer we hired for group photos, mixed in. Blended them to look like they are one, is time consuming in post, but worth the effort.

We only saw turtle from our boat sevaeral times this day. But it’s fairly common to swim with the Hawaiian sea turtles at many snorkel spots throughput the Hawaiian islands.

So which seat was the best? Almost looked like the one behind the pilot was better than the front seats
Aloha, sorry for the delayed reply. The very best are the front two seats, but most helicopters use weights and balances to decide where you'll sit. I've been in most seats and you are right the back middle can have equally good views and a different perspective. Blue Hawaiian only flys the Eco Stars which are the premium helicopters, with alot more glass and view areas, along with bucket seats vs bench so most everyone has a good view. I hope that helps.
