"This was once the least skill intensive combat interaction (balista shooting)" Infering that balista combat is more mechanical than any for honor characters actual moveset nowadays which i point out immediately after... Did You play for honor 8 years ago? Cause OBVIOUSLY your 600ms lights and no unreactable neutral attacks mean the "5 layer mixups" are in character combat and not balista 😑 So i guess youre right... you dont mixup with balista but how the fuck did you read that? Side note, do you enjoy feint bash, and bash/undodgeable offense? Or Everyone having 1 of 3 copied dodge attacks...? cause i remember when there was more manual application and offense back in the day... you had to literally mindread your opponent 6 times over to get your damage... not just throw them a 50/50-33/33/33% roll everytime youre OKI for it. Modern for honor is dumbed down mortal kombat 3rd person 3D... the for honor that released the 1st berserker rework, highlander original KIT design, released shaman, and glad... that for honor had fuckin promise. Sadly it wont get better cause modern FH players is just 95% consolian/PC scrubs you buy into anything simple enough to sometimes feed their ego and dopamine addiction. And 5% OG's still too nostaliga stuck to let go. That old highlander is one hell of a memory, if they could develop that depth and skill expression into other characters like 1st rework berserker FH coulda been a mainstream E-sport. But sadly the devs caved to the lesser community and a made cheap rockpaper scissors game where skill expression takes a backseat to streamlined pre-ordained options.
