In this video we'll discuss how we clean our Tascam M3700 Mixing console at Guerrilla Studios. While you might be tempted to put a brush attachment onto your vacuum cleaner it might not be the best way to clean your mixing console. As you might damage buttons and switches and in the case of the Tascam you will certainly hoover up the coloured tabs off the eq's. Here at Guerrilla Recording Studios we use compressed air in a can to dust off the desk. You could use a duster of some kind. We then use rubbing alcohol and cotton buds to remove any grime. By far the best way is to keep it clean in the first place by always covering the desk when its not in use. That way it'll be much easier to keep clean.
