Im so glad I didn’t hear this distorted teaching years ago. Jesus always healed everyone who came to Him. I have received supernatural healing by the Spirit of God of cancer, knee issues etc. We can have faith but also have unbelief that hinders the Power of God from working in us. GOD WANTS US WELL!

This is the first time I listen to a sermon about the prodigal son which is very different from others . I never thought before of a comparison between the Lord Jesus and the prodigal son ! Dr wiersb gives this sermon with a great wisdom which is pleasant and knowledgeable to hear.🙏

I have read so many of Dr. Wiersbe's To Be series of commentaries. I discovered them when I was a young Christian. and still refer to them often in my personal studies.

Well there I was, innocently walking down the street when I got kidnapped, tied up and spanked by a masochist, so no, the Golden Rule doesn't really work. A better rule would be the Platinum Rule: treat people as they would want to be treated. Even that might fail, as a kid might just want to be allowed to eat sweets all day, so an ever better rule would be to treat people in a way that would benefit them the most, but then one would need to take the benefit of the rest of society into account, so things get even more complicated.
