you mean you have to be line of site to operate it ? you can’t control it if your not in the crawl space?
I imagine you could have a sensor in the robot that knows whether its flipped or not, and it adjust the controls seamlessly in software so they dont get reversed and no need to flip it back.
Please confirm you still offer this crawler with the added Infrared Thermal camera combined with the standard camera?

Could the DJI 03 Air unit be used in place of a Go Pro? I think it has better range.

How long does the battery last? Can you zoom in and get a clear picture of nook & crannies of the crawlspace?
The battery can last up to ~5 hours of normal use. ~3hours of consistent (non stop) driving. As for the zoom, the Mink lets inspectors use their own camera. If you use a video streaming camera with zoom, then you will be able to zoom into the nook and crannies!
How water resistant is this? If it goes through a puddle and water reaches the bottom of the case, will it survive?
If the water goes up to the bottom of the chassis, it should be fine. We are still testing water resistance, so we can't officially comment on that. However, if you look at our social media, we have clips of it driving through heavy rain, customers driving through wet crawlspaces, etc.
Looks really good. I like the ability to flip itself back over. Having to crawl in and retrieve does not sound fun.

what range can the GoPro Hero 11 send a picture to your phone? I struggle to get more than 25 ft. from my Hero Black 8 so that one is useless for crawlspace or attic inspection for a home inspector. I like the design of your robot. looks like it can get to places I can't. if it can send a live picture more than 60 ft I'm sold. crawl space hatches are often on one end of a house so it has to reach to the other side, sometimes around concrete piers.
GoPros are really meant for smaller crawlspaces and short distances because they stream their video over Wi-Fi. We've averaged about 30-40ft in a crawlspace and they (GoPro) advertise 50ft line of sight. For larger crawlspaces, analog video streaming is really one the only main options. Our Marten crawler has up to a 500ft range using analog video.

Is it water proof?
Our crawler is not waterproof. We have driven it through mud, puddles, and snow without issues, but cannot say it is waterproof.
I love it but how can u reach the other side of the crawl space seems like it’s not going climb over it’s just going flip over
Unfortunately, there are probably some crawlspaces out there that just cannot be inspected entirely with crawlers! In our case, there was a path to reach the other side with the crawler.
@@uplinkrobotics in my area I think the crawler works for 95% of crawl spaces so I’m good
@@uplinkrobotics I’m currently on leave right now but I go back to work in jun definitely going buy one. I see others selling for 3-5 k this one is 2k. How do you guys compare to others
Never got a notification! Sorry for missing this. Our benefit over the others is that our crawlers don't get stuck when they are flipped. Lot's of other crawlers have top mounted camera systems, so if they flip you are going in after it! The Mink is also one of the crawlers (we've seen) that allow the inspector to put in their own camera.
