The amount of time it took the the fire fighter to case the poor soul down then the thump really shows how tall that fall was. Which then really paints a picture of how desperate they were and how bad the situation was.

That Thud, Bang, Splat, whatever you want to call it is way too familiar for some reason. I used to watch a lot of suicide videos as a kid which were eerie, but these, these aren’t suicides. They had no choice. Well they did but they chose the worst but best option they could have in that situation.

As horrible as this event was. This was not the first time new york city had a situation where people died from jumping from a building due to a large fire. The same situation was the triangle shirtwaist factory fire in the former asch building (currently the brown building) at 23 Washington place in manhattan in new york city on saturday 25th march 1911. Rest in peace to all the victims of both the triangle shirtwaist factory fire and the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks.

People terrified and traumatized by people jumping off the world trade center as they dont have a choice fires at the 80th to 90th floor tower is collapsing by it took 1 hour for the first ti collapse and the second it took 2 hours to collapse as for the people who work there they have no choice but escape through the window and slide down useing there leg and body to grip on the wall and escape the others committed suicide cause going down the fire exit was no longer a choice some of them were blocked and some were burning the options left is stay in and slowly die waiting for help as firefighter dont risk it or jump off

I really hope the fire departments have changed their policy on, sending fireman into high rise buildings that are on fire. Comes to mind a comment made by Steve McQueen’s character in, ‘The Towering Inferno’, where he said to the architect, “You guys keep building these buildings higher and higher, but you don’t ask us firemen how to build them with safety in mind”. What happened on 9/11 is a very rare occurrence, but the outcome of tall buildings on fire is not. Policy should be in place, that people who choose to live and/or work in such buildings, need to be aware that they need to save themselves and not wait for help to arrive in emergency situations. I know it sounds harsh, but more people were killed, because they sent fireman in and told people to stay where they were as someone will come to get you. Try to save yourself and the people around you, if you can. 🙏🏻🕊🕯

i need to see is a solid jounaliastic material that links those so-called hijackers to the events. Because everything I watched was just someone telling me something. The world is and was to never be the same afte 9/11. The innocent people lost on this day, the 2 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the casualties of those wars, the ptsd and health issues from being at ground zero, the mother and fatherless children caused by that day. Really sad and painful. I can get over most things but will never get over this day.

Thanks to those people many many lives was saved. Imagine that 50 tousands people worked in WTC but nearly 3 died. A lot of firefighters were staying there till the end 😢

Faces we never would see again as they went up into a death trap... how do you get a fire out that high up? They probably couldn't, but they went in anyways. They knew they weren't coming back out most likely, the dread was in the air.

Cant imagine how it was at the windows. Calling family to say goodbye, having to overcome the survival instinct and jump to your death with probably alot of people surround you. I bet this was like fucking hell up there
