Went to prom with my now ex-girlfriend, this song ended up playing and we danced together. During that relationship i had issues with her emotionally manipulating me, at the end she told me she didn’t love me anymore. Now i just can’t listen to this song without crying.

This is great for fantasizing. POV: You were at a party, your boyfriend/girlfriend cheated on you. You run to the bathroom and splash water on your face to calm down since you were panicking from the horror you just saw. This song comes on... You start vibing and singing with the rest of the random girls you've never met before in the bathroom (because we really do be doing that, it's how friendships are formed LOL) You come out of the bathroom with a girl who just asked for your snap. You're trading sob stories when suddenly you bump into someone. He/she was... beautiful. Fluffy, flowy (pick a hair color) hair pulled back into a careless and messy bun (a bun coz some boys wear buns and some girls do, too). They apologize and you realize that they seemed... sad. You could feel their energy, it was panic-y and confused just like yours was. You say... (giving you options for fun) 1: "Oh... It's okay. Are you... you alright?" You say, then you look to your new friend with sparkles in your eyes, mouthing the words *they're perfect...* 2: "It's alright! Uhm... What's your name? I'm y/n!" You were trying to be friendly; you saw a small smile form on their face as the obvious tension left their body and their muscles relaxed. 3: "It's cool. Everything okay? You seem like you're in a really... *_bleh_* kind of mood, Y'know?" You were trying your very hardest to act cool. They thought it was a bit funny and gave a small giggle/chuckle. After talking, you find out that their partner was cheating on them, too... with your partner. Soon the party ends and you get each others snap. But what they said before you ran off surprised you... "Thank you, y/n... For tonight. Thank you." You blush as you look to the girl you met in the bathroom that had been spying on you both ALL night. They give you a kiss on the cheek as they walk away, turning around to wave and then running off. I don't currently write on anything. This was just fun. If you'd like, you can change the she/her pronouns for the friend coz it'd be weird if a guy met a girl in the bathrooms. LOL

imagine you come home after a nasty fight with your boyfriend only to stop you here this song playing only he’s singing not so bad only he claims to hate the song. you try to open the door but it’s locked fortunately even as you storm out the house you bring your keys. putting the key in the door nob and slowly open just enough to peek in. peeking inside you see him holding a girl swaying back and forth with each other to the beat their backs to you facing the wind admiring the view as you so often did him singing softly in her ear. instead of screaming you close the front door and push your back against the door and just start listening as slowly the tears roll down your face as you realize this is the end.

I was in a relationship that ended pretty rough a couple years ago. It made me really happy and we tried but it was my first relationship (sophomore) and she was known for being a not great person. I looked past it all. I was happy. It was the first time I had been happy in a while. It ended after 11 months at homecoming. I got dumped. We tried afterwards to make something work. We had made plans for the future and everything. The key night of my graduation about four months ago she gave up and blocked me on everything. With no closure for me. I was young. Dumb. And in love. This was our song. And hearing it in the other room of the dance was something we went through because we danced outside the room to have a private slow dance. This reminded me of that. Thank you for the nice memories. Sorry for the rant.
