Hey. I appreciate the effort on the legal questions, but your answer on the legality of emulators is another myth itself. I'll give the tldr version: emulation is legal, which is to say, emulators as a class of software are legal. Specific emulators may or may not be. Legality is the default position in the law. Illegality and gray areas are born from specific regulations and/or prohibitions, not simply Nintendo threatening lawsuits. I started typing out the long version, but doing it here got tedious even for me. If you're interested in a comprehensive breakdown of where the legality of emulation stands, I'd be more than happy to discuss it with you guys or put together something long form for your discord server.

That free to play not-monster-hunter he's talking about is Dauntless. That was the first monster-hunter-like that I actually got some friends and people from work playing, because it was #1 free, and #2 eliminated 95% of monster hunter's overwhelming tedium

Mailbag: Stop assuming that everyone wants to hear how the progressives are the nice/sensitive archetype and anything right of that is 'implied bad'. The right likes sexy women and unlike you, many of us can deal with horror themed games; Probably because we hear zombies gurgling every day. The left is trying to coup movies and games - the market is getting REALLY sick of your bubble... So, the question is: Do people, that may not think as you, do scare you?

DK 64 is the best Donkey Kong game. The DK rap is awesome.

I too had an issue with LoZ Phantom Hourglass and it was what Saturn mentioned at the end of the episode. I got to the point where you had to match the map and I swear I spent 90 minutes trying to figure out how to turn the map over so that it would line up properly: different button presses, holding the system upside down, sailing around trying to find what I must have missed, etc. I finally decided to take a break and closed the system only to hear the Zelda Secret music! I opened up the game and sure enough that was what you had to do, you had to close the DS-stop playing!!-in order to solve the puzzle. I was so annoyed that I saved my progress and stopped playing the game...forever. It's been 15 years and I still haven't gone back to it. Sadly I had a bad experience with Zelda Twilight Princess also. It was entirely my own fault this time though. Just after you get turned into a wolf you're supposed to go to the East(?) shrine from the meadow. Unfortunately I mixed up my East and West (yes I am embarrassed to this day). I spent a good two hours trying to hop over the barrier blocking Link from going West. I circled the meadow, I found the blocked path North and the open path East, but because I "knew" that was the wrong path, I didn't take it. I quit the game. Several years later I saw a review/playthrough on TH-cam and I figured out what I had done wrong, but that 2 hours spent going the wrong direction ruined the game for me. I've tried to go back twice to play it, but the game is ruined, I can't play it.

1:09:29 Some of that was my doing; I added the drag building functionality and other bits and bobs, such as increased Imp abilities in possession, some level script commands, and UI improvements. However, multiplayer support isn't "full", as it still only supports two players :(.

Must've been a revision. Our 64 always had the exp pack and Silicon Valley never locked up on us. Anyway it's a great game, my brothers and I spent ages trying to beat it (w/a loose 64 stick cus they all break down...)

For me action adventure was a game with any backtracking/semi-open progression and a focus on action. In my head I used to clump Zelda in there even if it was used more for stuff like.... Shadowman? The PS2 Vanias? Basically anything like ALTTP or OOT- there's linear progression of objectives, big focus on those objectives, but you have an overworld with plenty of choices.
